Take THAT, Bembridge Scholars!
I have always wanted to collaborate with the amazing, beautiful, BAD. ASS. Dr. Colleen Darnell, so I asked her if she would want to sit down and watch one of my absolute favorite movies, "The Mummy". I have always been super curious how much of the movie was factual, and how much was dramatized for Hollywood, and I finally got my answer! Still the best cheesy action film ever though, hehehehe.

You start with several layers, eat lunch with 1 layer, and go to dinner with several layers. Night clothes will be several layers as well. First off, LOVE your channel, been binging for quite some time while entering data. You've been one of the main influences on my journey to vintage fashion. So thank you very, very much. I'm a professional entomologist (I study our little 6-legged friends, the 'bugs') and I LOVE THIS MOVIE, one of my absolute favs of all time. BUT my gosh, poor scarabs. Such a bad example of our lovely little buds. Scarab's don't fly well, don't crawl fast, and do not eat living flesh (there are some exceptions to the rules, as with all things/beings, but you never get the trio or even two together haha). I keep the cuties as pets and take them to outreach events all the time. Unless you are dead and half decayed or something with a very very thin epidermal layer, aka skin (and absolutely tiny) like a small frog, you have NOTHING to fear from a scarab. Most... ok mostly all, are cute little dung eaters that help to clear waste we'd prefer not to step on. PS most of their cute little mouths don't even have the capability to bite if they'd like. Again, love the channel, you helped me a lot throughout the pandemic. You ever want some help on insect related things, just contact your local beetle gal.

@@lifafy4614 There's always controversy in academia, it doesn't make her less knowledgeable. Universities always have a problem with more flamboyant personalities, they like their sh*t as vanilla as possible. My bet is, some of these nimwits made nasty comments to her about her relationship with him and she told them to back off. Vendetta style, of course.

I'm so disappointed that she's in the extremely historically inaccurate Netflix series about cleopatra. I was so shocked when I saw her in it😭 I feel betrayed Edit: Guys read the replies, I don't think she knew!!!

it quite ironic that she (Dr. Colleen) says that Cleopatra was a Ptolemaic ruler and that the first Ptolemy was a general of alexander and the rest of the "documentary" then says that she was black. but yeah, im really disappointed and angered at the producers of the series.

@@ariandnesiosana9362 I saw the 'documentary' 1. Collern wasn't the one who said that Cleopatra was black in the documentary. It was someone else who did. 2. as explained in her insta, she was not consulted with the reenactment and not responsible for the production, probably wasn't informed about other things than the portion she participated which possibly filmed before the reenactment scenes. Netflix and the production company did her dirty.

i know what you mean! for me, it was the tv show "who do you think you are" they trace a celebrity's ancestry, and the historians tell them their findings and go into detail about their ancestors' lives. made me realize how important history class is (i always thought it was boring in school). on a side note, it also made me realize why it is so important to have a son (to carry on a family name). there was one episode, where they traced the lineage and found out she came from royalty. the daughter of king edward (can't remember which king edward) married a man, took on his last name, and by the time the family tree moved down several generations to the celebrity, the royal name was buried. such an amazing and important history in their family, and it disappeared, just because the female didn't get to carry on the name.
