There is A LOT of wasted diagnostic time due to having no real direction of the diagnostics. An example of this would be a crank, no start condition. The tech would have to do some general tests to determine if it is a fuel delivery, a loss of ignition, or an engine integrity problem. Once the general test shows the correct area, then pinpoint testing would drive down the funnel to eliminate the components that are working correctly.

Practice as much as you can. Any vehicle you can get permission and hands on. Record and screenshot. Build a database. A year from now you'll be really good.

I'm in Mr Morton's class now, it's not often you get to be taught by one of the best in the business. This man is willing to share his experience with a class of people where half of the people dismiss what he says the other 25% care about passing a class another 20% understand what he says but want nothing to do with it. Then there's the 5 percent that hang on his every word. people pay good money for these classes, he doesn't have to be there yet he choses to believe in them. Take it in boys and girls, one of the best in the business is sharing his secrets.

I love that only a few percent actually pay attention. That means MORE money for me lmfao. Less competition.
