Bat Credit Card explanation: Batman is rich and funnels money into said credit card through shell companies and false identities for the purpose of fighting crime in Gotham City. The card is pragmatic. However, the timing of said credit card is idiotic.

Actually, the plastic lips are probably one of the more practical things on this list. When I initially learned CPR back in the 90's, we were given mouth guards to protect us from any contagions that the victim could've been carrying. And, if I'm remembering correctly, we were told that they were standard equipment in an EMT's kit.

What makes the Bat shark repellent even more insane is that it's a spray...how are you supposed to spray something that lives underwater? So Batman not only knew he would be fighting a shark....but that he would be fighting it out of water

To not get traced back to Bruce Wayne. If he has it anomysed through a money laundring scheme and doesn't store too much money on it(so he can dispose of it after use) he can use it for hasty spending without getting getting tracked.

Almost everyone on set from Batman & Robin said that they felt like they were making a commercial for toys and other products, rather than a movie. And Schuhmacher showed that he could make a decent Batman movie with Batman Forever. The question is how much influence did he really have, since the Tim Burton movies were really good, but weren't that marketable (too dark and sinister). What the studio wanted was a clean, child friendly Batman to go along with McDonald's Happy Meals.

I'm hoping the NC still flips out over the Bat Credit Card but after Linkara's counter to it in his comic review recently, I hope the joke doesn't die. Also, the time magazine pose in Batman Forever as Rob Walker pointed out was a sign the film series was headed in the wrong direction

My personal favorite were the emergency costumes used in an episode of the 60's TV series; Bruce and Dick were away from the cave, so they dropped little capsules into a glass of water to activate their dehydrated spare suits :P

I remember one episode of the 1960s Batman. For some reason, Batman, Robin and Alfred had to travel to England to face this particular foe. In the episode, Alfred found Batman wandering the streets of (probably wasn't London, but whatever their equivelant was for the episode), but Batman was suffering from amnesia. Alfred took him back to the temporary Batcave. I will never forget Alfred saying, "We didn't bring everything with us from Gotham, but I'm sure glad we brought the Bat-Memory-Restorer."

Heck, I'll sound like the Batman geek I am: the robotic T-Rex actually has a modern origin story re-telling by Graham Nolan in a (if I remember correctly) Batman Chronicles issue. And it's sweet. Also, I wouldn't say it's a gadget. Gadgets, by definition, you carry around with you.

In the first episode of the original Batman-series, after tracking the Riddler to a museum, Batman cuts the bars in front of a window with a laser-cutter. Robin grabs the bars and wants to throw them down. But Batman stops him, telling him to pay attention to the pedestrians. So, Batman takes a gadget out of his famous belt, which reveals to be some sort of coat hook, that can be attached to walls with a suction cup. He puts it to the wall and hangs the bars on it. Of course, the hook has the form of a bat.

Worst Bat-thing I ever heard was "For now Robin, we'll put him in the Bat-mouse-compartment!" This referenced a small pouch on the utility-belt. No joke, Adam West had no shame!

Dante Kiyoshi I love 60s Batman because it's a comedy and it's actually pretty well written and funny. I can't really tell if Batman and Robin is supposed to be funny or if it's just a bad commercial for 90s Batman toys.

What about the 2nd Batman movie with Keaton, where he battles Penguin and Catwoman, and he plays a recording of Penguin on a CD/DVD player and scratches it (moves it up and down) like a DJ and that player had a big bat symbol on it, the Bat-DVD/CD-Player... That was silly right there!

The Kryptonite Spear From Batman V Superman. It's existence alone deserves a spot on this list. One, I hate the Batman from BvS. I don't hate the actor, I think Ben Aflek did an impressive job as Batman. It's just that the writing for Batman in that movie was fucking horrible! They made Batman out to be a cold blooded killed. The thing that made Batman such an iconic superhero was his inability to kill. So having a spear makes no sense for Batman. Two, the way it was used in the movie was also horrible. Superman used it to kill Doomsday which also killed him. A Fucking Spear Killed Superman!

I agree with no. 1, but you should have made a reference of some sort to the Nostalgia Critic's (Doug Walker) running gag of going ballistic whenever it is mentioned.
