Today I ease into the VG30DETT engine Teardown by Tackling some of the more Tedious Jobs such as Cleaning up the Ports in the Lower Intake Manifold, Cleaning up & Machining the MSP Turbo Manifolds & starting on the Engine Block coolant passage Casting flash Removal. The Nissan Z32 300zx Twin Turbo Mega Build.

I gotta say Trev, your videos have been monumentally educational. Passing down wisdom to future generations. Currently working away at my own VG30DE rebuild in WA. Although I didn't have much experience in mechanics before my own project, having my dream car that I intend to keep forever; the time taken to learn and do things correctly from you is inspiring. C'mon Mate, you really think she was home when I did that, Lol. She's pretty good though. I think she's caught me using pretty much every household appliance for car stuff. Only a few weeks ago someone told her that there was a video of me using her Jewellery cleaner for throttle body parts. I told her it was CGI. It didn't fly. Ahhh Married life. Cheers Mate.

Smells like progress. When I did the coolant galley on my block, I had the benefit of having it in pieces and able to send off to get hot tank washed with all the plugs out. The front half looks pretty good. I will say that the MotoIQ "guide" that they did with their block I followed for the most part, but I was also told by the owner of Specialty Z out of California that while the guide is a solid read, that he felt that it was used as to show off. So long as you have a hole around a $1 AUD coin then that typically is good enough and everything else MotoIQ did to include the Devcon steel putty fill in is just a waste of time. Sadly, I wish I learned that before I bought my container of Devcon but it is what it is 🤣

G'day Mate, yes, its definitely a filthy crap job hey. I'm a bit ahead of this now & have the engine completely stripped down, plugs out etc & all done. God dam there was some crap in there. I ended up doing a lot of work in the rest of the blocks coolant passages also due to this thing being so full of rusty sludgy crap. No need for devcon in this, it had a sludge fill. G'day Eric, probably not, if money was no object then maybe. I can use the cash elsewhere in the engine. I'll probably just wrap the downpipes. I have used a lot of wrap on my other TT Car & its been great. Cheers Mate.

G'day Craig. Not specifically. This is just one tiny piece of the overall work going into this engine. It is a Big Power Build & its a case of "leaving no stone unturned". The whole intake system is being cleaned up for max airflow & areas of potential turbulence addressed. On its own though, not worth a cracker. Cheers Mate.

@@TheAussieShedCGI is getting so accessible these days. Just show a picture to an AI thingy and there you go, a video of you putting some parts in the home dishwasher. That CGI does wonders for the cleanliness of the parts!
