Love your painting. A lot different than acrylic, which l use. Love your lights & the fact you put black around the bulbs. Makes the colours stand out. Of course your hanging ornament, finished your gorgeous art. ♥️♥️☘️☘️

Something that I also found works GREAT is to use a pouncer sponge (sp?) - The Art Sherpa has her own line - and use that to apply masking. You twist it a LITTLE and apply just lightly to get a perfect circle. You can apply masking over already painted areas too to get different colors. I checked out the idea you shared on your extended video and that is BRILLIANT! I'll be trying that too.

@@monica11760 hi 👋 sorry I did not receive any other messages so yes the adhesive paper I used for the bokeh circles is the same that I used for the ornament I just drew out a circle and cut it out. 😀

Just gorgeous! I'm wondering whether this painting could be done with masking out the main bauble and then using the Bokeh method to do the out of focus Christmas lights. I've never seen those clear circle things you stick on here in New Zealand. I'll give it a go for sure. Thanks so much for this lovely tutorial. Francie 💖

I signed up and watched the tutorial on your website- very helpful. Did you use the same sticker material for the ornament, just in a different size? It isn't clear like the bokeh stickers so I wasn't sure.

Thank you so much. I am not sure what you mean by snow paint as there is no snow in this tutorial but if you mean the white pen I used to get the ornament gold cap and wire I used an acrylic pen. @@dottieburns3420 The adhesive paper is what I used with the 1/2 inch hole punch: amzn.to/33XgrYG and amzn.to/32CKnbX. You have to make them yourself with the hole punch.

It takes a bit of finessing I went through a lot of experimenting to get it right. Each painting we do is a learning process. We are our worst critiques. Try not to be to hard on yourself and have fun. Some tips are to make sure your sticker is well adhered to your paper so the paint doesn’t bleed under it and letting the layers dry completely is hugely important before adding a new layer. For heavens sake, why torture your happy viewers by not telling them where or how to find the stickers?? Another very talented and generous UTube watercolor artist shared the information that she simply used removable coding circle stickers in some of her artwork for special effects. They can be found on Amazon or in your local office supply store and they come in different sizes. Some people use these as price stickers for their yard sales. Just make sure they are labeled as removable. Have fun!!!🤗😊

You can also use masking fluid for the circles. There are a lot of circular stickers out there to try for sure. The reason I don't share the information is becasue it is a technique I have come up with for clean edges and this is a preview video of some of the process. The full story is reserved for patrons.
