If you are still enjoying it after these last two months go to an art supply store and buy some better paints for $30-50, and a pad of 100% cotton paper. You will be blown away by how much of a difference it makes!

1. Thank you so much Chris for this. What really helped me was seeing which colours you combine to achieve so many different shades. I hope you continue with this type of video. I have a few different paints, and the one you used here is one of them. Just the simple act of removing them, and placing them in the proper order of hues makes such a difference. I'm in. I've been using blue painters tape that I stick to my pants a few times before holding and masking off my watercolor papers. So far it works in making it less sticky and less likely to tear my paper. Thank you, so much for helping us. You are a great teacher. Also a very calming voice. God bless you! ❤

I appreciate your style! I paid for a class and was taught light colors before dark (not a you must do it this way, but this was the technique taught) - going from acrylic to watercolor, this makes it easier to adjust! thank you

Loved the video Chris! I started learning watercolors last year during lockdown but hadn't really picked up a daily or routine painting practice. This video, however, helped reinvigorate that interest and I'd definitely be interested in seeing more beginner, essential technique-type videos!
