I absolutely love my Paint pucks! I use an old toothbrush to clean off all the settled pigments at the base of my water cups!

I have a water vessel that has ribs on the bottom of it that I purchased eons ago; but, I love your "bush" washing thingy...LOL....I nearly fell off my chair. Thanks for the giggle. I agree, Angela is great. I picked up the watercolor pencil grating trick from my first teacher, many years ago....don't know why I haven't mentioned it on your "hack" videos. I so enjoy your fun videos and you. Thanks for sharing all your knowledge....now to find that masking vessel.

Thanks for the tips and information! Me, I always leave a piece of sandpaper with my watercolor pencils. I can scratch them over a wet watercolor to get the texture of colored grains, like you do with the blade.

I use my brush washer (paint puck) attached to the side of my water jar instead of the bottom. I don’t like to put my brushes all the way in the water. Awesome video….so glad I found you!

Bush washer: Well, it IS kinda "bushy" looking...But NO JOKE: My thoughtful daughter gave me a Paint Puck as a gift. The base is a "bush washer" 😆 setup with a water container and a top rim with notches as brush-hangers. Best art gift I've ever gotten.

Love Angela! First found the scraping-of-a-watercolour-pencil-for-texture in one of the Ann Blockley books. I have 3 books of hers. She's great. She's British. No KZfaq tutorials that I know of. As always, thanks for you hacks. Love your sense of humour too!

Great hacks! If you are looking for a rich two pigment black; PBk31 and PR122 is my go to…but would also work mixed with PV29 or Quin Violet (PV19). If you use fresh paint (not dried and then re-wet) D.S. Pthalo Blue Red Shade and Transparent Pyrrol Orange make a deep dark black; doesn’t work for me however if the orange has been dried and then re-wet (could just be something w/ DS paint which dries hard for some pigments).
