Wow I love 💕 the pee pad hack. That’s great & I can now use up the rest of the stash from when our 3 year old dog was a puppy. This was a great video filled with so much useful information and hacks. Thanks for sharing this with us.

Just came across your videos. Love the dog pee pad. Here is another great supply to have on hand bamboo paper towels. Still on my first sheet and have washed it a few times already. I bought it on a whim at a hallmark store that was closing. Best Buy ever. Look forward to watching more of your tutorials.

This was a great video. I have been painting watercolour for half a century and I love learning new tricks and hints. I have been inspired to create a “Blocked Inspiration List” In it I am putting all the great hints and hacks. When I am looking for something new to change things up I try the next thing on the list. Kind of like in the movie where the heroine worked her way one recipe at a time through “The Joy of Cooking”. Thanks for your really fun videos packed with great ideas featuring your beautifully creative artwork.

My Art group uses the blue side of doggie pee pads under our paintings to protect what ever surface we are painting on. Especially great when doing splatters 😁🖌️

XOXO As for pee pads....I love using them when I paint my drippy watercolors where I rotate and flip and they drip everywhere....it just absorbs everything and no mess to clean up of soaked towels...will definitely use them under palettes too now...thanks, my dear! I still say....I would love to live close to you....even if there would be lots of wine involved...lol XOXO P.S...Love love love your shirt...OMG!!!!...Beautiful...along with the model wearing it!

Rachel, can I ask what it is that you like about the Holbein soft tape? It costs a lot to get things shipped from the US to Canada, and then there’s the exchange… So I’m wondering if it’s worth ordering or not. The only thing I don’t like about regular masking tape is that if I am quite wet with my water, it ends up lifting (especially if I’ve used the hairdryer) and I have to tack it down again. Have you noticed that this is better with the Holbein tape?

So far, even when I get it very wet, it doesn't lift up, so that's what I really like about it!

Rachel, what is the brace you are wearing, for, if you don't mind my asking. I am suffering from trigger finger on BOTH hands! Excruciating! I know I got it on my right hand from making my hand too tight when painting small. My left hand? No idea. I am an every day painter but not able to right now.

Love this series! Thanks for the tips and I love the way you edited your video 👏👏👏 How do you scan your art into a digital file? I have always struggled with that especially with larger paintings

I often just take a picture with my phone. But you can also scan sections of your painting with a scanner, then stitich it together with a program like Photoshop.

For 5:50 I've learned ages ago that if you lightly scrub your metal palette (not too sure how well it works for plastic) for a few minutes with an old toothbrush and toothpaste it reduces the beading quite a bit :) (I did it once ages ago when I was just starting out so I think it worked well but my memory could be failing me haha). And I've been really enjoying the Gladiator Masking Tape. The adhesive feels a bit weak but it protects the paper from the paint extremely well and is so easy to peel off. I don't recall it ever tearing watercolor paper. Really recommend it! And oh I love these videos so much! They are always so creative and so good! Most of them are things I'm hearing about the first time and it's so refreshing to gain some new knowledge :). Absolutely lovely.
