Today we are testing out a new QOR mini palette and I am in love! It really stand up to the QOR name and has a great set of colors.

I started my watercolor journey about a month ago. I am no artist by any stretch of the imagination. 😊I just decided one day to started painting after attending a class with a friend. Thank you for the wet on wet demonstration, I have to forget about this as a technique as I'm newer to watercolors and tend to favor a more controlled approach but I love how this turned out and it really does have a lot of depth and dimension. It was fun to play with something a little different than I'm used to. Thank you

Nice palette, beautiful flowers. I love the flow. I just scrub any new mixing wells with a no name magic eraser before I use them and I typically have no trouble with the beading. I give it a little test and if it still beads I scrub it for longer. I just keep one dedicated magic eraser on hand for just that purpose.

Loved this and the effect it made, and the QOR mini is very appealing and little bit less intimidating an investment, especially now that I’ve been learning and getting a feel for what I can - and cannot yet! - do! Thank you for another great tutorial - spent my afternoon trying this and yesterday’s red, white and blue floral and love both ❤

This pallet was the first QoR paints that I ordered and I Iove them!! Then I bought two other pallets, the Earth Colors and Urban Sketch and I love them both! I only wish some of the pallets had a different green. I love the Sap green but wouldn't have minded having a different shade. All in all they are fantastic!!

Good morning Shania I started in the beginning it's really been a fantastic journey..I love the qor..its on the spend and I am no artist i consider my self a beginner I heard you say Paul rueben before so I purchased a mini one of those..oh I wanted qor..I really had to restrain myself..lol..qor really should sponsor you..but I will begin to buy like one tube @ a time...I really didn't think I would continue but wella..I'm still here having the time of my life..and I can't thankyou enough..have a absolutely wonderful day..your the best..❤🎉❤🎉❤🎉❤🎉

I too prefer QOR and their vibrant pigments. Have you ever noticed Joly Poa only uses her QOR lid for mixing her Sennilier watercolors?

I have worked with both Qor tube and pan paints. I actually find that their pan paints re-wet better than their dried tube paints.

I have the 6 tubes of bright colours (not sure what they call it) because they were colours that weren’t included in classic W&N and DS 24’s. It has green gold and cobalt turquoise, that same orange, magenta and purple as you have in your 12 pans and Quinacridone gold (which is actually in the DS set but it’s such a fun bunch of colours to add to a more traditional palette!

Thank you Shana! I started my watercolor journey with pans and had only pans for a long time and every time I followed a tutorial I was not sure if I could get the same result as from tubes. This was very helpful to see. I would be very curious how the pans compare to the dried tube paint in the long run, if you are willing to share! I have read that the pans paints have more pigment in them than tubes and I would be very curious to know if you see any difference at all when its from the same brand.

I love your leaves . They look more natural than most.. Is there a video you recommend . I have been doing watercolor for awhile but like your style better for leaves much better. I been using ds for years and just bought qor for a change and im having a hard time honestly. I bought tubes. My tubes are not drying in the palette but i live in San Diego which is humid desert . I wish i would bought this set instead of the 24 set. Great video

I don’t live in a very dry place, but not super humid either. Did you have any trouble getting DS to dry out? I would try leaving your palette open over night and just lay a paper towel over it loosely to keep debris from getting into it.

Hi. I’ve just discovered your channel and I’m really enjoying your content. Can I please ask a question regarding the QoR paints? I have a 12 tube set that I got years and years ago and honestly can’t remember what the purchase price was. I had a look the other day and a 24 tube set is about AU$300. That would convert to about US$200. I’m just curious to know if they are as expensive there being locally made, as they are here in Australia.

Thank you. On KZfaq you should be able to select the CC icon for closed captions. Look in the top right hand corner or just below the video player. You can select this icon to turn close captions on and off. I just did it for this video and was able to turn the closed caption on.

Also it takes just a little time for KZfaq to generate the captions If you watch right at the time the video was uploaded. Come back to it a little while later
