Lay down some colours, soften the edges. That’s what I learned from this video.

I don't know that I've seen a more sensitive/delicately rendered portrait done on KZfaq. The laying down of cool colors, that sculpted the face and helped set values, followed by the warm overpainting, produced a wonderful depth. Was interested in the "dry brush" type strokes for the top of the beard and the mustache. it is so effective. Inspiring and look forward to more videos.
