Wow~ I just discovered it 3 years old tutorial. This is amazing! I will definitely have to experiment with underpainting technique. I know people do it with oil paintings but I don’t see people do it with watercolor very often. Thank you so much for this! 🙏🏽 P.S. Not sure why anybody would give this video thumbs down at all!!

I wish you show your palette and show how you mix your colors. Can you do same portrait in normal slow speed with your colors? Thanks

He works off values. So it really doesn't matter what colors a person uses as long as the values are correct.

lumi x He’s correct though, a realistic portrait can be done in simple greyscale. Tone is far, far more important than colour. @MaMo, no need to see the palette, it’s clear the artist is using complimentary colours. It’s tonal range that you need to get correct, not colour.

@@Kyomiibrown no one said grayscale paintings dont exist but this isnt one, IDIOT. there's nothing wrong with wanting to know what colors are being used. I've been painting portraits successfully for 5 years in 3 different mediums, so respectfully, fuck you. don't tell me bullshit and expect me to believe it.
