Nice. Got my house picked up and went to my Art table this afternoon to relax. Started fiddling around cleaning up my brushes and palate that my Granddaughter’s got into after church and used some really Loose brush strokes to dry off my large brush. Wow it turned into a really pleasing painting in less than a half hour. Loosey Goosey Love it.

I really like this Diane! And yes, of coarse you can use your photo copy as a background page in your junk journal!! I hope that I can paint something that resembles yours, you always seem to know just where to add the little bits that make it look finished even though loose. Great work!!💕

@@DianeAntoneStudio 😁 yep! I never have been one for fads. Style and class, Fedora hats are still my way to dress when going someplace nice. My attire in the house (painting, working outside, etc,) is another matter entirely 1. And your style of painting is class. So on we go, fad free!😊❤️

May 332 th. Cleaning my fresh collected strawberries I combined it with watching but more listening to this video. 😅. I have quite a lot plants,but the slugs this year are uncountable and very hungry😢. But enough to get frozen and then usable for making lovely cakes trough the year. Thanks for keeping me company and yes I took a look and liked your painting. I also learned ( in repetition) to take a foto copy to try out further steps. 😊Wim.

Hi Wim, you’re having the same problems as us, only we are worse. BIG SLUG ISSUE as it’s been so wet and cold, not enough birds to eat them I suppose. We had loads of fruit set on the plants, but it has been wrecked by slugs, hailstorms, frost, rain, insects and more SLUGS> UGGGHHH

GoodMorning Diane ! I finally found some time to sit down with a cup of coffee and enjoy a visit with you.. Incase you don't remember the name its Cone Flower or Echinacea ... I think your darkened bits really added depth to the painting.. Good to remember.. I rather like spatter ... I think it adds something to a sense of looseness .. But then i'am 55... I might be rather old fashioned myself and out of style.. lol I liked the fact you did not do penwork on this one, though i do love your penwork... perhaps it belongs more on whimsical paintings?? I might have been tempted to try some penwork on that photocopy though! lol Thanks for a great visit with my coffee! See you next time!! Hugs! deb

Hi Deb, lovely to see you today! I eventually remembered the name, I’m hopeless with plant names! It’s always good to remember to put the little darks in they do make a difference! Don’t worry I was only joking about spatter going out of style! I will always be very ready and willing to spatter - it always makes a big difference to a loose painting! Yes I was in two minds about the pen work - I did one or two lines on the photocopy and realised that I wanted to leave the watercolour as a watercolour! The photocopy is very useful for this! Lovely having coffee together today! See you again soon xxx

Very fresh and light. Lovely. Just a little noté. Lupin leaves have their own stem. They are not on the flower stalk. 🙂

The flower you could not remember…. Is it an echinacea? We lived 15 years in Texas. Bluebonnets, a lupine, are the state flower and are everywhere in the hill country in March. I’ve been learning to paint them, but took a break because I was not satisfied with my results. Your loose study here is inspiring me to get back to my bluebonnets and master them. I always enjoy your painting videos! Thank you!

Black eyed Susans are rudbeckia, a different animal all together. Only yellow. I've seen cone flowers purple and white.

Try looking at ruby&pearlxo on KZfaq for junk journal inspiration! I always want to create your artwork and their junk journals and combine the two! I will most likely never do that, at least not commercially, so why don’t you give it a go?? Lovely daisies painted on jj pages with other cute little ephemera! How darling!
