Hi from Oregon! Our landscapes are very similar to yours. My favorite tree is the mighty oak so this is fun to do. I appreciate the lesson pointing out erasing the middle sections to create the illusion of gaps in the tree. I also use the stipple effect for the pines I draw from my old acrylic #2 brush. I like the colors mixing into each other on the paper. I learned that in one of your previous videos so it’s something I will try out. Thanks for the video.🦜

I can’t begin to tell you how you have saved my sanity during this Covid madness. I only decided at age 60 plus, and forced to stay at home more, that I braved attempting watercolor, though it has always fascinated me. My new daily routine is wake up, clean up, coffee, then watching and trying your ever so helpful instruction. I will never be great perhaps but I’m loving it, and color theory is also fascinating. I see the world through different eyes now. I love your style of instruction. I am slowly creating my own “wallpaper” with my attempts, lol. New focus for this old bird in her retirement years. Thank you!

I just took a photograph of a tree that I want to paint. I’m a beginner with some talent, but no training. I enjoy your straightforward approach, your step-by-step tutorials and your sense of humor LOL. I found that the most important thing you said had to do with leaving gaps between the leaves. That will help deter me from overworking it. Thank you for posting. 🌵💙

Saw a most wonderful tree this evening. No place to pull over with the narrow road that had a sharp turn ahead. It is a live oak twisted and gnarly probably hundred years or more old. Tree around here aren’t really tall but shorter fat and limbs start close to the ground. Aaaargh! I keep seeing wonderful sights but no place to pull over to snap pictures!

Another great video. I found your channel a few months ago when I started my watercolor journey and glad I did. You’ve been a great help. Thank you 🙏!!
