I would suggest anybody using the word Caucasian to describe anybody might want to look up its history.

So obvious once you make it clear! Thank you, Michele. Once again a really valuable video. The points are essential for face/head drawing. You've taken the mystery out of it!!

Great point about writing down your colours. I also put tiny labels beside the pigments in my palettes, as some of them look the same until reactivated, some l forget, and some because the colours are intended specific pieces.

You're so cute with the "posh" palette.😊 I splurged on the neocolor 2's, this palette is a must for dry to wet media. I also like the convenient size. Thanks for being encouraging.

The first masters class did not disappoint really enjoyed the commentary in the sketching process. Michele has stated that you must start with an accurate under drawing and based on that fact I can see this painting is off to a fantastic start. Will definitely be tuning in next Sunday.

Here's 2 mistakes I used to make with tube paints: 1) not wiping the tube edge and cap off after use. Then it's 'glued' on and hard to open again. Pliers can help, but I've literally torn the metal casing, yet the cap remained screwed tight. 2) squeezing the tube from the middle and leaving it that way. Then if you haven't used tube for awhile you can't squeeze it out easily. Now I smooth & flatten my tubes of paint, like toothpaste. I've also used a tool that slides over the base of the tube and helps the paint evenly get rolled towards the cap.

I too have split a tube like that 😅

I really like what you said about "painting loose" or trying to paint in another's style. This does seem to be a unique brain behavior thing. Much like handwriting .

Me too! Have a kayak and they are a close paddle. Just have to stay outside prescribed limit for viewing their nesting island. But have paddled with the puffins when they fly over water to feed. They are exquisite! Hoping to paint one of my own pictures but using oils.

I did No. 7 so many times because I was too unpatient. So I had to learn it the hard way. 😂 Another mistake I did was No. 17. When I started with watercolour, I wanted to have all possibilities and spent a lot of money for a lot of colours (luckily no cheap brands, but well known professional brands, so I can still use them). After a longer time I found out, that less is more... I can only recommend a reduction to maximum 12 colours, Michele has described it in another video, I guess. No. 21: I don't teach much people in painting, but this is definitely one of the most important things! By the way, this video should every watercolour user watch and learn it by heart! 🙂

Agree with everything, I used Schmincke Horadam pan paints when I started and are a charm to rewet... they use the same formulation with pans and tubes and is very easy to pick a lot of paint with most pan colors. After that, I have refilled and bought individual colors just in tubes because is even cheaper on the long term... But yeah, that's a general good advice for almost all other brands out there. Great video, thank you so much for this great content
