I love my filter and needed to change the CF (mine lasted nearly a whole year too), but it wasn't resetting properly. The instructions say you don't have to choose if only one filter expired. But, that wasn't true. It wouldn't reset unless I chose it. Watching you do it really helped, I just needed the visual! Thanks!

If you can't put a new filter in, make sure to turn the black mechanism in the bore where the filter goes. If you look closely, there will be a tiny W on it. Turn it to where the W on the new filter will go inside.

I read the instructions, but no good...I must be a remedial student ;) After watching your video, I switched to the MRO filter, then back to the CF filter, held it and it reset to blue again. Thanks for the video !!

Just wanted to add to your instructions that if you find the old filter impossible to rotate counterclockwise, I found I had to shut the cold water valve off. Make sure the water has left the faucets to ensure the pressure is out of the system. I had to do this each time I had to remove the old filter. I hate bothering with shut off valves, but even this product can be difficult to rotate the old filter out too.

Thanks to your video I replaced it easily because with the instruction it came with it was not working. Said not to choose the filter if its only 1 for replacement.

Our model has three filters but no button on top to push, we just hold our finger over the flashing light for whichever filter was replaced & it stops beeping. And we HAVE to turn off the water first or the filters do not come out in spite of what their instructions say.

Had to get down under the sink, turn off the water & release the pressure. Why don’t they just put it in the instructions!!!! Mrs Z

Sounds like from the fact that you have to tell the thing that you replaced it, it's not really smart.

@@joan38probably timer based...i havent changed mine in 14 months and it keeps beeping..water still tastes good..so i am keeping it and not changing the filter

It's based on gallons filtered, not a time based thing. I heard the cf filter should last about 6 months for a family of 4. Our family of 2.5 made it 1.2 years without changing it. It just started beeping last week.
