We are deep in the jungle of Grenada today with the man ‪@rasginga‬ , learning about Bush Craft the Rastafarian way! While hiking through the jungle we find the special sap of the gum tree used as a natural fire starter, learn the difference between breadfruit and bread nut, score some "Black Gold" wild nutmeg and mace, swim in a pristine mountain waterfall, explore a bat cave likely dug out by the original Taino people of the island, find some bois bande tree bark and watch how Ginga stays young by swinging on vines like Tarzan. Hope you enjoy this epic hike!

I lived on St. Thomas USVI for 15 years. I know many Rastas. I highly recommend getting to know them on the many islands I have been to. It is a lifestyle to admire and obtain. There is nothing like it and nothing as fulfilling.

The best thing about nutmeg is every piece of it is edible. The yellow part can be used to make jelly and jams, the mace and nutmeg seed can be used as spice 🇬🇩. I’m still waiting on the oildown video lol…but I will be patient until it drops 😂

I loved this episode as I have hiked in some of the areas you hiked plus Mama Cannes and Hope Village as Ras Ginga mentioned at the start. It is wonderful to be in the rain-forest, so tranquil apart from the sounds of the rivers, streams, waterfalls and the cracking of the bamboo. I can't wait to go back. Would love to meet up wid de Ras also.

Always happy to watch your channel. I’m wondering did you drink out of the river? If so hope you did not get a upset stomach. As western’s our bodies get accustomed to chemically cleaned water. It's called baliseday flower it trini as well.. believe it or not it's actually a flower that snakes like to hide in..😳 when I was small we always had to be careful when picking them from the tree...
