Either lower or replace your outfeed rollers, chatter like that can be a few reasons, can be due to the weight of the piece you are putting through the planer, on big pieces like that you can use “wood slip” or candle wax on the machine bed to help lessen the friction, dull knives can have trouble getting though wide boards also. Most uk planets have anti kick back fingers that stop the piece shooting back at you. Start with the knives and friction, then look to your out feed rollers 😅

I'm so glad you did not use an epoxy fill on this table. I'm not generally a fan of live edge, but your use of it on the vertical stabilizer looks great.

That’s a very different style than your usual work and once again proves your great skills. I love the use of the live edge walnut slab for the “leg” where you worked with its shape as part of the design.

Kyle - I have the same planner and Ben Jarvis makes some great points. When my slabs won't feed well I first check the setting of my feed rollers (the four screws that tighten springs on the top of the machine), then wax the bed, then knife sharpness (I have a spiral cutter so I rotate my knives). Hope you get 'er working again.

Looks good! Id round the edges to give it a more "flowy" feel. And My planer does tht when im taking too much off and pushing it through too fast/ hard. I dont have beast planer just the dewalt 734.

Wax the bed of your planner it will help reduce the friction and should then stop the blades chattering on the piece cause the wood won’t be sticking

I have no idea why your plainer would chatter like that. My guess would be sharpen the knives and or clean/oil the feed rollers.

Still haven’t learned how to use the table saw safely I see, unfortunately it might take u learning the hard way! I only say this with knowledge/wisdom and myself also learning the hard way! 2 years ago someone commented on this improper technique and you replied, “who are you”! What a typica ignorant Interneter response to someone only trying to help you understand the issue when you rip with the blade pointing towards the fence! You are relying on the wood to perfectly straight and not under a load of force with different grains and knots, you put your work piece in s potential (bind/kick back) because the cut has no relief! Carpenters under this very quickly using a circular saw on site, same issue in a different context, like with any cut (chainsaw, handsaw, any modern cutting saw) YOU NEED THE CUT OFF PIECE TO HAVE RELIEF, SO YOU DONT GET A PINCH/BIND AND INTURN A KICKBACK) I’ve met plenty of very skilled carpenters, cabinet makers, woodworkers with either a missing finger or a stub finger! You put yourself in a pinch with the table saws blade angling towards the fence you have a no relief situation and are relying on wood being non organic and like a piece of straight metal that’s isn’t under a load of pressure, wood is under this pressure/load you understand this, your a skilled woodworker but so we’re the 4 fingered other guys, you need relief for your fall off cut piece! knots and grain will at some point cause a conflict if you continue to misuse the saw in this manner! All the best, I just offer an understanding and preinjury advice, I was like you, along time a ago! **who am I? Just some a$$hole probably wasting my time to help another even bigger a$$hole, if he cannot articulate the knowledge and wisdom from a random comment to this situation.
