Water Wells for Africa

Water Wells for Africa

9 жыл бұрын

Water Wells for Africa visited Mwangala Village by the Sombani River in southern Malawi, and installed a borehole in a community that had previously been getting all their water from a dirty river. This video tells the story of a woman from the village named Teresa, and we follow her before and after the water well came to town.

We just had a drive at our small Cumberland Presbyterian church in Dickson, TN and we raised money for 3 new wells in Africa. It was fun and a pleasure to help in this wonderful work. Water is so easy to access in our homes. It was a joy to do this for them. More people here should help in this effort. Clean water would be a true blessing for those in need.

You need rain to refill, even with heavy rain, it takes YEARS before it reaches down there through filtering.... In a well, it DRIPS VERY SLOWLY.... Here is the problem.... It takes DAYS to filter 1-2 Gallons, it takes them minutes to take 1-2 gallons out. THINK + CALCULATE !!!

It seems strange that so many are so happy at the end result. I would imagine a bit of saddness in realizing the dire situation they were just in, there solution was to beg others for money. I am sure they were just expressing thanks, I can't imagine the hardship these people go through only just to go through the same cycle again because of war.

@claytonziegler1385 6 жыл бұрын
Yes, "God is good", is a very broad term that I could see to be annoying to some who have different view points on life, BUT you saying "good people helping people", is very similar in meaning. Its like if I said "life is amazing and wonderful", I would surely offend people who have have terrible lives. But I still have to say it because I need to express the experience that I am having and what I believe based on my heart and soul. Have a good day Max.
@KingMarvin
@KingMarvin 6 жыл бұрын
Max Power, a beautiful good evening to you. If I may, God is so good that even people like you who hate to just even hear the Word God are still well and prospering every day simply because we are now under mercy and grace. He is so good that His mercy never runs dry regardless if you believe on HIM or not. Whenever a bad thing or situation arises in life, people want to blame God or question the reality of God. But this truly proves only that there is God! Why? Because God is so good all the time! Therefore, when there is a problem, we look for God to blame if He is not doing things on our terms, then we easily declare that there is no God, but in the other way, if things are perfectly in our favours, we don't mind if there is God or not! Huh! But take it or leave it, THERE IS THE CREATOR GOD! And HE LOVES you more than you know.
