@Mircea most of that video was filmed on an outgoing tide, there's a lot of water moving through that inlet when the tide is going out. Tide rushing out into open ocean waves creates a messy inlet.

I don't know why there's always people that want to go sit at the bow. I tell them to get to the back of the boat when it might be rough out, but there's always some people who just don't want to listen.

There is a good reason why boats have flared bows, and the pardo at 2:22 beautifully illustrates a good design for a submarine.

Wow the nostalgia. Back in the early 00’s my dad and I used to run out of Haulover in our 17’ Sea Fox center console. I definitely remember days thinking “how the fuck are we getting through here” lol

I'm always surprised and confused when people are nearly through the inlet and them decide to just turn around and head back in. In smaller boats I guess I get it, but some of them are totally capable vessels just saying "Okay, forget this." It cracks me up.

If I had a bunch of money I'd design a boat that with a push of a button, it would activate a hyrdo foil to let you have a smoother ride. It would be like driving a 4x4 truck and being able to shift into 4wheel drive on the fly when you need it but in this case it would be for rough and choppy conditions.

The more I see in boating, particularly in rough water, is that the catamaran is the way to go. Smoother riding powerboats and sailboats that can have a good turn of speed.

As someone who's not familiar with the boat what makes this area so rough and what's the best way you to go through and one more thing that guy in the first boat he was knocked out cold at the very end you can barely see him start to moveand what's worse yet no one came up front to see if he was okay they were just laughing and having a good old time and they're buddies out cold 😂

Are center consoles the best for rough waters? Im thinking of getting a deck boat, but seems like that is more for lakes right? Any advie would be great. thank everyone

deck boat in Miami is perfect for sandbar, cruising to lunch, hanging out with friends... and ok for the ocean too, just need to pay attention to tide changes and sea conditions. In South Florida (Miami area) about 90% of the time it is flat calm off the coast so deck boats are fine.

These videos are fun to watch but alarming too. Every Capt. is responsible for the safety of guests and crew and the seaworthy status of their boat in prevailing conditions. When people get hurt on boats they often get new nicknames..3 fingered Dave...no toes Jones..no teeth Steve.... Keep videos coming ...I hope viewers enjoy them and use them to see things that may not be the best boating decision(s)....BTW still looking for that loose tender...she was a beauty!!
