Hello my friends!
That's right.. FIXED.
I decided enough is enough, and went and doubled all damage values for the weapons in the game.
And boy oh boy, does this play so much better.
Guns actually hurt now, and they hurt others too which is grand.
And with our new-found firearms.... it's time to move on forward

Yeah that RPG monolith ambush is in every game and mod, even anomaly. Also the 7 snipers ambushes in the radar map.

The RPG-7, as well as the "grenadiers" who use them, are more effective in Anomaly (having easy-to-use iron sights and fast rocket speed). In the Eastern sense of the term, grenadiers are issued rocket launchers, whereas senior riflemen have rifle-mounted grenade launchers. That seems odd to a "Western spy" like muhself since, in Western nomenclature, grenadiers are issued grenade launchers. That's going by the modern definition of "grenadier."

@judsongaiden9878 the only mod that I played that let your opponents and enemies utilize effectively the grenade launcher attached to their either eastern or western rifles was new arsenal mod, the one that I am playing currently is version 6 but it's in Russian and the developers apparently couldn't solve the translation problem of this mod, although they upgraded the mod to version 7 with an English translation and enhanced x-ray engine, but for some reason it didn't work on my computer. Stalker anomaly enemies rarely fire their grenade launcher, but they throw their grenades at you like crazy to lore you out from your hiding. And also in most of stalker games and mods the RPG carrying npc will hit you with the first round, when he move to reload and relocate to fire the second or third round he end up hitting the wall in front of him killing him instantly. I don't know if I am right or wrong but the ogsr version of stalker mods has better ai than anomaly. Even some times better gun models, I haven't seen an AK 7 or AK 8 or AK 15 before in a stalker mod, I only saw it on new arsenal mod, even their version of the Barrett 50 cal sniper rifle is better than anomaly.

Now this is much better. You don't just tickle the enemies with bullets, but you also need to be careful because trade off is fair. The end is close, oh boy there will be a lot. Waiting for more)

Soooo much better. The guns actually kill, and they hurt me too. Much more like the STALKER I'm used to

Gotta say I'm loving the slightly longer format of these last few vids. I think the sweet spot for me would be around 45-50 minutes, but obviously that's a lot more work for you. Hope we're doing classic CoP next!

Believe it or not, it isn't much more work. I record typically 2 hrs. What footage I get depends on what happens, and how hard I cut it up. But nice to hear you enjoy the longer ones!!

You can get two RG-6s and keep one for yourself if you want. Rifle/launcher combos are more versatile. A repeating grenade launcher would be more purposeful if you were encountering entire hordes of three or more pseudogiants on a semi-regular basis like in some versions of Oblivion Lost. And the do0m-giants were tougher than they are in 'nilla ShoC. 4:47 They give you two chances! Considering their philosophy, that's kinda lenient. 10:27 I think all you have to do is not talk to Max. Funny that his name's "Max" seeing as how Mad Max was an MFP officer, and the MFP are basically the Australian version of Duty. 12:10 That's how the real-world one works. In-game, I think they just have bigger blast radius than the standard type. 13:13 The SG550 has some AK in its heritage. The L85 and G36 both have some AR-18 in their heritage. 13:48 If you do some of his repeatable missions, you can earn an unlimited supply of SG550s, GL5040s, M381 HE-frag 40-mils, and 5.56 AP (the GL5040 is the SIG-made launcher often misidentified as an M-203). You can do the same for Voronin to get an unlimited supply of Groza-9/40s, VOG-25s, and 9x39 SP-6 ("Groza-9/40" is a nickname for the Groza-4 in OTs-14-4A-04 configuration). 14:15 Ackchyually, 40-mils are super-light in the core games. Unless this mod changes that. In Anomaly, they weigh more, closer to what they weigh IRL. You can still carry plenty of them, though. VOG-25s are usually carried in a pouch rig that holds 10 in two rows of five. The senior rifleman, not the grenadier, would have a GP-25 on his AK-74 or AK-74M. The grenadier would have an RPG-7 (or something newer). 18:24 Groza-2 in 5.45. OTs-14-2A-04 configuration. The Groza-2 (5.45) and Groza-3 (5.56) were never produced in our timeline, but it's legit that they were in the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. timeline. Anomaly has both the Groza-1 (7.62x39) and Groza-4 (9x39). Gotta at least have the Groza-4 because it's so much a part of Zone lore. One of the guns everyone wants. At least in the core games. In mods, there are usually better options. 20:43 SEVA, PSZ-9Md, or SSP-99M + two Moonlights + three Crystals = ultimate explorer's combo. Unlimited stamina + high rad resisty. Two Crystals is enough. Two Moonlights is enough. Really, any two Electro artifacts should be satisfactory, but there's a certain prestige in using the best ones. For your fifth artifact, you could go with, say, an anti-bleeding artifact. Mica is the best one. I think Slug is the second best. Correct me if I'm wrong. 20:50 What if there was a whole series of guns named after Tremors characters? Val, Earl, Rhonda, Burt, Heather, etc. 21:31 A gourmet zoner after my own heart! 23:52 Crystals outperform both of those. 25:57 That's gameplay fo0tage of Build 1935, right? That's what some older versions of Lost Alpha are based on, and I think also some newer versions of Oblivion Lost. But don't quote me on that second one. I know Lost Alpha v1.3003 was based on Build 1935. 26:50 In part of Cap's dialog, he compares Freedom - or at least the Barrier defenders - to Jedi. The irony is that that's probably how Duty views themselves. Duty's austere Apollonian philosophy is more Jedi-like. 28:10 In 'nilla ShoC, that Monolith squad will usually have several Vals and 9x39 ammo of various sorts, along with 5.45 rifles and ammo. In Oblivion Lost 2010, they use mostly 5.45 and 5.56, with M-16s instead of Vals. That works out great because Skinflint pays more for five-five-sixers. He especially likes German ones. Or maybe it's specifically the G36 (all variants). Petrenko pays more for Eastern-style guns. All traders pay more for their own faction's armors. That was something that set OL2010 apart. Barkeep paid more for stalkers suits than Skinflint did for Guardian of Freedom armors (Guardian of Freedom being the overall best upper-mid-tier armor, assuming the SEVA is a tier above that). 29:25 Some mods have that. Oblivion Lost 2.2 had that way back in 2008. Anomaly has one too. It looks awkward, though. In Anomaly, the scope interferes with the launcher's flip-up ladder sight. The SR-3 Vikhr is the overall best 9x39 rifle in standard-issue Anomaly. GAMMA has at least one better. It's called AMB-17 or something. Seems kinda new for the Zone. Even if it's not anachronistic to 2018, I'd still rather use old stuff in the Zone. 31:00 GLaD to see that this mod makes pseudogiants more abundant!

Yeah in some mods bandits spawn when you leave Agroprom Underground like old LURK mod - that was nice one, but had some worse moments

Had ChatGPT write me a python script to find the "hit_power" in all the weapon files and double the numbers

Seconded, but it should be reserved for Pripyat and beyond, should be used with SP-5 ammo first (SP-6 second), and should be swapped for a Val or Groza once it's worn down enough. After swapping for either of those, SP-6 should be the top-choice ammo. PAB-9 should be reserved for use against mutants if you're using a 9x39 rifle instead of a shotgun, otherwise it's a waste of space if you already have a good supply of SP-5 and/or SP-6.

@@judsongaiden9878 G36 + Vintar = SoC end game weapons every time. You can pick up the Gauss & the FTM later but those the best to take to past Pripyat.

@@WaveysGamingAdventure the modded groza is great but not an end game weapon. In vanilla you got it off a duty guy called Barin when first entering Rostok. Vintar better, it's just lying on the ground in army warehouses.

Hey, is Dark Signal still a great choice...? I was hesitant, because that release on Moddb needs Anomaly 1.5.1, so builds on top of a slightly older version. I guess not a problem?

I always have a soft spot (really like) Dark Signal. It is not super perfect though, some people have had issues getting it running

What's weird is, with weather = clear sky (i use debug mode f7), mid day, sun is not illuminating the surface, World feels like in shadow.
