This is a different Rooney than what I’m used to seeing in the media. He’s more intelligent, and hyper football intelligent, than people give him credit for. Did amazing at derby and the move to MLS surprised me. Good luck wazza. Best united player of all time.

This is from a Brit in America. I think the problem he's having is, yes Football(soccer) is Football. However, Americans are not the same as English people. They have a whole different attitude. They have an enthusiasm. Brits have a more Conservative attitude, and I think Brits will be on that level. The way he's talking sounds like he would bring Americans down in tone.
