Absolutely on point and so valuable. Please continue as I've been playing for 2 months now and have been working on my follow through, but that spiral you just mentioned seem to land my dart just off to the left where I'm aiming and this makes so much sense.

WOW! So much knowledge in 20 minutes! (I had to pause, rewind, and consider what you said in 7 minutes.) I’ve been playing about two months now and am trying to learn as much as I can. Someone from the Darts Nutz forum suggested your videos and I’m so grateful. You have concisely broken down some fundamentals in a beautifully simple way. Thank you very much!

When I heard you mention release time I thought that was pretty obvious and never really thought about it, but my very next session I remembered what you said about release time and straight away my game improved. I think I was releasing it to late as my darts where going to the left way to much and I was finding it hard to play as much as I wanted to because my form was so bad. I have played with this in mind ever since and my game has improved and I am enjoying it a lot more again. So I just wanted to say thank you Wayne and to let you know your videos are helping people out there. Cheers m8 👍

Wayne I know this video is quite old now but I’ve came back as I’m late releasing every pitch and I agree it’s a workout… I’ve now caused myself to have tennis elbow and it’s absolutely painful I’ve had to take a break from the game because I can’t keep going on the way I am. I was playing with the injury but in just making it worse

very important thing with grip which wasn't mentioned in the video is holding the dart lightly

Hey Wayne! Got a real question here. I just watched your throws in this video again, this time in 0.25x slowmo... You don´t once release as early as you say or you´d like to think you do, lol. We tried the "early release" as you call it for the last days in training and watched a lot of slowmo´s of many other pro´s... and, well: none releases as early as the lower arm reaches a minimum of a vertical angle. Not even the smaller players in my league could do it without looping the darts in an upwards rainbow-trajectory. Especially when going for the lower half of the board, there is nearly nobody having a nearly 90 degree upper arm to elbow angle (upper arm nearly always pointing down at least 15-25 degrees, sometimes even more when goin for Bull or lower), nor could anyone with an average straight (medium strong) throw do it like you teach here. One usually good player even failed to go lower than D20 with this "early release". That´s why i came back to watch it again and wanted to ask: Have you watched your own throw in slowmo? Also, down in the comments many people want to know: What about shooting for the lower part of the board? Try your own technique on D3... the early stuff really seems like a distorted perception when checking the slowmos. Thanx in advance! Cheers!

What would you suggest, I am left handed but have no sight in my left eye. I can’t ever seem to get any line of sight between the dart and my eye

I try my fckin best to not move my elbow and focus hard on just moving my forearm but i cant do it for some reason. My darts end up high, low, left or right. Rarely it goes in the 20 segment and very often it just slips in to the 1 or 5 sometimes even off board. What can i do to fix that?

Always watching your videos Wayne for advice and tips. I've only played the game for a few years and I started getting to a good standard (regular 60 averages and pinging 180s and 140s alot of the time) and all of a sudden I couldn't grip my dart the same. It seemed to happen overnight but realistically it was probably a week or so.. I have been struggling since to get my grip back and am lucky to average 50 right now. I know they say there's no right way to grip but wondering if you can help with a video about just the grip and ways it can change. I've had to adopt a 2 finger grip (finger and thumb) which is working ok but is inconsistent. Anyone else who's experiencing anything like this please comment I'd love some advice. Thanks
@janwintraken4 жыл бұрын
had pretty much the same issue. as i started my grip was super natural and basically flowing on its own without too much thinking about it. a couple years later it was basically gone. i never could grip the dart the same way and get good results. i tried something different over time and now stick with a throw that ,in my head is logical, and get pretty good results again. just gotta get proper practicing going again.
@benmorgan1254 жыл бұрын
@@janwintraken it's exactly what I have. I've found ways to hit the treble and had a few 180s this year but nothing in comparison to last year. I find some grips work great on the 20 but when I switch I've even missed the board. I'm going to try and play through it and hope that works but don't want to commit to a new grip if it's never going to work fully if that makes sense 🤔

Help my game has gone to pot. I use to be a decent player 23 a dart super lge. I have sevwre grip and release errors. I chnaged so many darts to try and help me. It is that bad I think I may have dartitis. Im lucky to throw a 12 average as I can throw the dart litreally 4ft below the board. What the fuck is going on.
@derneue5204 жыл бұрын
I have big problems with my throw. Im playing like a year and my improvement is bad. Im losing motivation. Im watching all these videos and nothing helps. Aiming at 20 and partly hiting 9s or 14s. It‘s frustrating
@user-ll7ni4rr9h4 жыл бұрын
I recently had the same with hitting 1s and 18s going for 20s. I fixed it by taking one step to the right of where I used to throw ( I'm a lefty) even at that it still took a lot of time to get right again. Rough patches in darts can last for months as I've experienced first hand😂😂. Just don't chop and change your throw too much or it will be impossible to settle and get consistency back. Just play through the bad patches. Maybe experiment a little with oche position but don't change too much. Just my opinion from poor performance.
@ermalshabani48984 жыл бұрын
I have the same issue. I have a good stance so if i throw i dont move to much. I think my rhythm of throwing isnt bad either. I get some 60, 80 or some 100. but most of the times my darts go to the 1 or 5 segment. Sometimes even on the underside of the board even when im aiming for the upper half of the board
