Talk to that Everyday Offroad guy again, he's an expert on the 3.8. He'll give you a list of 3.8 problems you didn't know existed lol. As for me, my '11 JK 3.8 was bought new by me and has been the most reliable engine i've had...in ANYTHING. Just over 200,000 miles now and outside of valve cover and oil pan gaskets AND good routine maintenance...not many problems to speak of. Still running great!

I've got 198,000 on my JK 3.8 and it has been nothing but GOOD for me! Running 4.88 gears and 37's and it feels like a stock setup.

Question,I have a jk and want to upgrade from 33's to 35's but not sure my little hp dana 30 will hold up from what I see online is mixed reviews and I wanted your thoughts. Thanks

The Dana 30 up front will handle more than you think!

You can always sleeve and gusset it to protect the housing. Finance wise it’s not bad if you can do the work yourself. Axle / ujoint I can’t help as I have 44’s and went rcv shafts. Most everything depends on how you step on the skinny pedal. Just remember you ain’t running king of the hammers
