This is my absolute favorite version of Regular!!!

I really like the WayV version it just hit different, mv, lyrics and dance too.

Many reactors said they like this version better even when they don't understand Chinese! Which is my case as well Concerning the "WW looks/is happier" comment he stated at least twice that his members (WayV) were a torch when he felt in the dark and he felt he found a home when he finally met them and became a group. I bet he has a great relationship with 127 members but WayV is his family as all the members always say Thanks for the reaction!

xiaojun riding a mechanical bull will always be iconic... also the eng ver of regular came out first even tho this version was supposed to be released first. i listen to the eng version more but this video is simply just one of the best nct/wayv mv's in existence

I do think a lot about WinWin and how bittersweet that transition must have been initially. Definitely sweet, in that he is treated much better and his presence feels more respected by the company, but equally having to step away from being with the 127 members as often must have also been difficult. I have trained with people for years and then been separated for whatever reason, and it can be really hard after being so close (the amount of hours you spend together in rehearsal is insane!)... but I'm just so glad that the WayV boys found their groove and got along so well so quickly. I think it's probably hard for anyone to imagine WayV not being a big hit and having presence in the music scene, but in the beginning there is never the certainty that a new group (even if its part of a larger concept & group) will find their feet and capture the audience despite their immense efforts. So I cannot begin to imagine what it must have felt like to go through the journey of finally debuting in 127, then not be offered the same opportunity to showcase his work/talents within the group, then be given a place in WayV that would give him his due respect but also at the cost of feeling like he was starting all over again and having the pressure of a new debut. Credit to WinWin, for sticking through it all. Artists should NEVER be mistreated, but he's really shown how strong his character is and how much tenacity he has.

The english version came out first with 127 in 2018 and is my favorite and generally a fan favorite, but WayV's version (which came in 2019) definitely has my favorite music video, it's so stunning. The choreo is different, not super different, but it was adjusted for number differences and difference in styles. Both are super engaging and cool. Hmm I don't like to say Winwin wasn't as happy in 127 because to me that implies too much about him and his members there and I've watched him work hard in that unit for 2 years. But I will 100% say he's in his perfect unit now that is fit for him and where he's been able to bloom best. Idk if anyone has shared this already, but the lyrics to all 3 versions (Korean, Eng, and Chinese) of Regular tell a different story or rather different perspectives of the same story. The album the eng and korean came from was 127's "Regular-Irregular" album which had the theme of one half being reality (regular) and the other being dreams (irregular) and the eng and korean versions follow that as well. The korean version talks about working hard and struggling to get to the place of success they want, while the eng version is a if they're already there and flexing everything they got because of it. The chinese version says that while yes they want the riches they REALLY want the reputation and respect from that success and the lyrics are really grandiose and talk about how untouchable they are. Which is a crazy way to debut to me, they came out the gate demanding respect.

I'm really glad that we still got the WayV version. The lyrics are the most natural since it was supposed to come out first but I do have to say that the English version is my favorite.

My favorite version forever. Have you see their debut promos see the V and Feel the V? Those videos solidified that WayV is such a "visual" group and then some. They didn't feel like rookies even at the start :D

Originally, Regular is for WayV. But because they're debut postponed, so SM released 127 versions first. I like WayV version, more relatable for MV and lyrics.

So 127's version came out first and then WayV's... Regular was actually supposed to just be WayV's song but their debut got pushed back a bit so 127 ended up doing the song a English and a Korean version. And this song actually has different lyrics for each version and fun fact WinWin is in all 3 versions of this song lol.

i first heard the English version and I was sooo in love with it and then came wayv's version and I looooost it, it is the best for me, the music video, the visuals, the lyrics sounds more natural even if I don't understand the language, My absolute favorite!

Oh man I love this version of regular. The MV is perfection, it looks so well crafted and expensive and elegant and the editing and camerawork are just impecable. I have a few more WayV suggestions in case you want to check out some of their live videos: Nectar and All For Love, both were performed at the Kick Back showcase and you can find them on KZfaq! All For Love is my favorite WayV song after Moonwalk, it's just gorgeous! Since you liked XiaoKun's Back To You I would highly recommend the live version of the other song from their EP, Sleepless. I like the song better than Back To You and the live version is just gorgeous. The views are criminally low. You should also check out their cover of Beautiful by Crush where they sing with a live band! You can find it in the Mdromeda Kpop channel.

Tbh, I usually prefer the 'original' version, because like you said, some people listened to a version first and it got stuck inside their head, so when other versions came out they still like the orignal one. But in this case, I have to choose the Chinese ver because it's just different for a whole new level TT TT

Not only is NCT/WayV's "Regular" sung in different languages, but if you were to look up the lyrics for NCT-127's English and Korean versions and compare those lyrics to WayV's Mandarin version, you would see that the songs are about completely different things. And that is why the choreography is also different in the different versions. If you look up the lyrics for the Korean version you will discover that the lyrics for the English version of "Regular" is almost opposite of what they are talking about in the Korean version. That's why the album is called Regular Irregular. The English version is what I would describe as the cocky version of the song and it hits on the aesthetic of what appeals more to an American audience. The English version talks about being famous and having lots of money and still not being satisfied until they possess all the riches and fame. "Regular" is supposed to be NCT-127's U.S. debut so that is why they made an English version. However, the Korean version is what I would call the humble version of the song. The Korean lyrics talk about how they are constantly working hard and are never satisfied with the end result and how they hope to have the success that they always dream of, etc. -- which is what appeals more to a Korean audience. The Chinese version of the song also has different lyrics. The MV for WayV's version of "Regular" is about dominating in the technology realm and that is why you see them as stock traders in the stock market and at one point they are literally inside a computer, etc. It's all about dominating in the business world. "Regular" was technically WayV's debut song as well. You should really take the time to see what makes the 3 versions so different. :D It's really interesting to see how 3 songs can be created in 3 different languages using the same beat and feel, and yet have completely different messages. It just goes to show how diverse the music industry is and yet still so similar. :D Another reason why WayV's MV is so different from the Korean and English version is because they are the Chinese sub-unit and at that time they couldn't have anything that might connect them to NCT or make it look like they were working with a Korean company if they want to promote in China. Because of the political issues between Korea and China, they had to appear as if they were a Chinese group and were separate from anything to do with SM in order for the Chinese government to allow them to appear on Chinese programs, etc. and to promote themselves and their album in the country.

The korean and English versions of this came out first. Then the Chinese. I personally like the sound if the Chinese better and personally I think the Chinese version MV is better to! Also shout out to winwin for being in ALL 3 versions! KING!

It's interesting to watch the live performances of NCT127's and WayV's Regular. I try to compare the difference in choreo because of the number of members. I personally liked the Chinese version better than the Korean and English versions....

The regular and come back version of WayV is always superior to NCT127, but I love them both...Xiaojun is my bias

I agree that Winwin is definitely more happy with wayv, because he's able to speak his native language and also promote in his country but I don't like how people think of his relationship with 127. Every single member of nct loves Winwin but specially the 127 members they adore him and he pretty much grew up with them as well. They taught him Korean and even to dance bc he was not able to really dance like the rest since he was used to the tradicional chinese choreographys. I'm glad that wayv debuted and Sicheng is able to showcase his work and talents but his relationship with 127 was always good and still is. So please stop talking shit, I've been stanning nct since 2018 so I was with them when WW was with 127 and then I was also there to support him and wayv when they debuted in 2019 :)

i personally used to listen to this version the most, this mv is one of the best nct mvs to be honest. i even like how they modified the choreo a bit in some parts. but now i listen to the english version the most. the korean version goes unlistened to by me 😭 also i agree winwin is much better in wayv, 127 members were good to him ofc but the treatment he was getting by the company was not it. as well as him not having that language barrier (obvs he’s very good at korean now though) that he used to. there’s frankly too many nctzens that want him back in 127 but it truly wouldn’t benefit anybody.

Anyone else wondering what China's new regulations may do to a video like this? Banned, maybe? Sure glad we get to see their work, though. I love this version, though the English one is still my fav. It's hard to top "I be walking with the cheese that's that queso" as an iconic wtf line.

WayV Regular was better than NCT 127 Regular though REGULAR was originally mafe by NCT 127 but WAYV did better You should also watch Come Back dance practice & Lyrics since they don't have MV if Come Back I don't know which came out first COME BACK or REGULAR Cuz in their Come Back dance practice they have the same clothes in Regular which means they did it on the same day except I don't know which came out first HAHAHAHA Anyways thanxx RJ for this reaction keep up the good work 😉😉💪💪
