Jack before of borning chooses castiel as his father and protection(kelly sayed) and even jack shows future to castiel and jack gaves his power to castiel until he can destroy dagon and he saved castiel and jack showed first time his goodness to castiel like when he shows to kelly. Jack after of borning does not knowed sam and dean and he knows castiel as his father instead of lucifer and castiel loves jack as his real son and even castiel because of jack's protection he wanted killed lucifer. In addition when castiel backed to life he protected jack and gaves his love to jack even he gaved his life because of jack and castiel made deal with empty until empty taked him instead of jack becomes he promised kelly that gaved his life for kelly's son. Even before of jack's born he buys things for jack's born like a real father and when castiel backed to life, jack and castiel's relationship was close and friendly and when jack was in trouble or natural times jack told with castiel and he told anything to castiel that don't told to sam and dean mabey for this reason he was guessed sam and dean doesn't understand him. And in jack in box and moriah's episode he was alone person who doesn't want jack died and castiel was alone person stayed front of dean and sam and another person and he sayed we should help him and we shouldn't kill him.

Also, Jack did look up to him and respected Dean a lot like a real father. He respected both Dean and Sam and thought of them as family. Hence why he was so worried about Dean hating him because of what he had done to Mary.

Yeah that thing destroyed Sam&Dean's bond with Jack for me. It especially felt so OOC for Sam to be fine with that, since Sam identified with Jack's struggles. I still have trauma from that episode lmao.

Basically, he bullied Jack. *Not* even *close* to being like a dad to Jack. He only treated Jack halfway decently when it was convenient. Sam and Castiel, meanwhile? They always treated him with kindness, love and understanding ... no matter what. Can you tell this gets me all riled up? 😀

I havent kept up with any SPN news since the show ended. You just reminded me how much it meant to me. I fuckin cried. I figured out i loved this show because it was about finding a CHOSEN family, like that scene where Dean bakes a cake for Jack. SPN, in all its run, except the last episode, was about FINDING people who accepted you,and accepting them, creating a new family, away from your toxic blood relations. They said "family doesn't end in blood and it doesnt start there either", they gave us the hope that it was okay to leave behind blood relations who hurt you and find a healthier family but in the end they fucked it all up. The ending was just, blood trumps all, and thats why it was sad, it destroyed the point the show built up over 12 years. It broke my heart.

This was so lovely😭😭😭 Just wish you wouldn't cut the part when Sam named his helpful family members about his whole darkness thing, because Sam was feeling that about Cas was a huge part of his story with Jack, he was taking care of Jack in Cas's honor, as his legacy, like he owed him this. Sam was way more of a father to him than Dean was, I mean Dean threatened him until he self harmed. And the show basically ignored Cas bond with him. Sorry Destiel stans, he’s not a Destiel kid. He’s Sam’s.
