Because this is an opening show match, and Sky is very popular among Chinese e-sports fans. He is the first Chinese who won WCG champion in War 3 competition.

yes. Sky is retired for like 10 years. You must have noticed he wasn't wearing the uniform at all, since he was not playing the tournament.

The commentators were extremely disrespectful to the Chinese team on many occassions and I don't know why. For example some things said: "Archmage level 2... after 10 minutes... um ok (game 2)" "Sky chasing Lyn into base, what are you doing its not 2006 bro.." "Yeah I gave TH000 advice to go with this build xxx" These are just a few examples, you can tell by the tone how condescending they are to these players. Quite disappointing frankly, would prefer neutral and unbiased commentators...
