WCTH's Erin Krakow and Chris McNally on Elizabeth and Lucas' ENGAGEMENT

'When Calls the Heart's Erin Krakow and Chris McNally are spilling everything about Lucas Bouchard's proposal to Elizabeth Thornton in the season 9 finale of the hit Hallmark Channel series. ET's Deidre Behar asks the actors all about the enchanting scene, including what it was like filming on set, what was improvised and how Little Jack (Hyland Goodrich) enjoyed being part of the sweet moment. Krakow and McNally share what they envision for their characters moving forward, as they await news of a season 10 pickup. They reveal if they want to see the couple elope or have a big wedding. Plus, they share if they think Elizabeth and Lucas will have kids together. As for Nathan Grant (Kevin McGarry), they reflect on their characters' evolving relationship with the town Mountie who once pined for Elizabeth’s heart. They also weigh in on Nathan's love life, as he could pursue potential romances with Mei Sou or Faith Carter.

Lovely to see a Erin and Chris interview. I enjoyed their relationship this season to see the growth and deepening of love and connection. Intimacy and kisses. I am so happy we got to see beauitful proposal, - marriage and family. Erin and Chris were fantastic all season as was Hyland. Beautiful and heartfelt. I saw Lucas as the one for Elizabeth since season 6 - the character he is and the build up of their relationship and connection

Have to admit that I was not Team Lucas last season when Elizabeth chose him, but the show did a good job this season in showing more of his character that I’ve changed my mind about him. I’m excited to see their family life going forward.

I love this union. I never thought they could replace Jack but they have and a totally different relationship than Jack and Elizabeth. I hope they go to Hamilton to see her family to see how things pan out with those characters. I love little Jack, this little fellow is such fun to watch. Great show just love it. Thanks

Fantastic, beautiful proposal! So, so happy they included Little Jack in the proposal. Also totally LOVED Nathan in the Finale, such a good guy...even with his sassy little comments: don't lose Lucas like you lost me, LOL 😃. Praying we hear something soon about Season 10, but in the meantime, will wait patiently & re-watch Seasons 6-9.

I have always been Team Lucas, but I hope that in their wedding prep, we maybe see Lucas and Elizabeth talk about her late husband. Maybe also have like a passing of the torch from the late-Jack to Lucas (as little Jack's father). Time moves on, and I'm happy for Elizabeth to have found someone to love her and her son, but I'd also love to find ways to weave the past and her future. Also how funny would it be for Charlotte (Jack's mom) to meet Lucas and see little Jack? Say Charlotte and little Jack have met many times before, but it's Lucas' first time meeting her... seeing Elizabeth bite her tongue during every "Lizzie", it could be fun! The Saloon fire definitely reminded me of the fire in the Church right before Elizabeth's wedding to Jack.

I'm farther from the show than ever. I loved it so much throughout season 7. I was watching WCTH so often, that I finally bought the dvd's and msny other things. I am homebound and spend the majority of time in bed. The show was such an inspiration and comfort to. I have watched 1-7 almost 200 times. I check in on 8. But 😐. I would never want the show to end because there are so many more new families on the show that have so much to give.

America needs more shows on TV like When Calls the Heart. The viewer can feel the full range of emotions that people experience in real life. Not some scripted, unreal "reality" show. This show although it is not historically accurate, is not truly trying to be. It is much more of a place that we all know does not exist, but we all wish that it did.

Often people who find themselves in love with the same person have a lot in common. It is very natural for Nathan and Lucas to have a close friendship. Look at Elizabeth and Rosemary.

I wonder how hearties are feeling now especially since Elizabeth broke up with Lucas. A part of me thinks Hallmark always wanted Elizabeth to date both men to show two different types of romances. Otherwise, I think the ratings started going down between cable and streaming service numbers. That's one of the reasons that they had Elizabeth break up with Lucas in S10. Now Elizabeth is with Nathan in S11.

I discovered this idyllic uplifting, fun& heartwarming show (I’m in Australia) not long ago & have watched all the seasons - I have 3 episodes left to finish season 9 & I’m already missing the Hope valley community (Elizabeth, Rosemary & Lee, young Opal & all the others). It’s winter here & Hope Valley is like a bowl of chicken soup for the soul - lovely. 🥰💕💫

I feel like since they used the path and road to say “if we should marry”. The road there all three have walked down before. The road she ran after Lucas in season 8 finale etc. Most wanted the bridge (even the library) as it’s two of the special places but this was beautiful

its most likely cos he has not got the secret, guilt and lying he had to do - weight off his shoulders i guess. He was forgiven about fort clay and finally got it through his head about Elizabeth and her saying No couple of times and what it was - transference.

Amei ver a profesdora Elizabeth escolher o dono do bar Lucas nas temporadas 8 e 9! Nos primeiros episodios da 10 temporada o Lucas era perfeito para ela e o pequeno Jack. Lucas tambem foi muito importante para a comunidade de Hope Valley. Nao gostei do policial Nathan. Nathan nao chega ao pés do falecido Jack. Nathan parecia perdido e confuso. Doido para encontrar uma mãe para sua sobrinha. Se é de policial que a Elizabeth precise, então que ela termine com Bill ou sozinha com o pequeno Jack.

I've never watched it after Elizabeth didn't chose Nathan. He was more the family man in my eyes. I was and still am very disappointed in the direction the writers took.
