We have arrived in Korea!
We normally book hotels online, but this time we had a little unforeseen issue which cost us some extra money...
We didn't let this problem stop us! Join us as explore traditional and modern Seoul.

Lotte and Lotteria are owned by Lotte Holdings which is actually a Japanese company that was founded by a Korean in Japan.

15:40 "안녕"은 인사가 맞지만 친구나 본인보다 아랫사람에게 쓰는 표현입니다. 처음보는 사람이나 식당, 상점 직원에게는 "안녕하세요" 라고 하면됩니다. 그래도 외국인이라서 다들 이해는 해 주실거에요. 한국말로 인사해 주는거 자체가 멋있는 일이거든요~

I'm a Korean living overseas and I heard about these love motels. I think Japan has them too. I didn't know that there are 'extra' fees to use one of their rooms. Nor did I know that they provide 'complementaries'. 🤣

Korea motels has 2 prices. you rent about 3 hours during the daytime or sleepover. I think they charged you 3 sleepovers + 1 daytime rent. very common for every motel in korea

@@HenryWrideExploresit is very typical and normal for koreans because there is big demand for quick sex, especially, from college students gay people adultery etc

Can you rent a room for 4 hours? That's a motel. If you can't, that's a hotel. Generally, a 4-hour rent costs half of a 1-night rent. A hotel is more expensive and has strict government regulations. A motel is less expensive than a hotel and has simpler regulations. But I think motels are also good and clean these days because of the many likes or dislikes feedbacks on apps.

You can rent a room for daytime only I know (or night time only.) We don’t really have many hotels like this in the UK so we were a little confused. In the end we did really like it though!
