Today we did a cool custom job, we added mandalorian soles onto my vans high top trainers! With help from the guys at mobility tools we did this amazing starwars custom sole repair.

Back in the 70s and 80s you could go into a Vans store and custom order a pair of shoes by mixing and matching any of the panels. You could get suede or canvas in dozens of colors and patterns, including printed patterns on the band around the midsole. If you submitted a pattern that they liked enough to add to the catalog you would get a free pair of shoes and a tour of the factory in Orange County, California. I think most of that stopped once the van Doren family sold the business.

Sanding down the sole, and heating up the glue to remove the footbed can both be achieved on back of a refuse truck😂. I’m speaking from experience with heavy duty boots being worn down in a matter of months

Since finding you I have to say, I find your videos so freaking calming! I'm slightly jealous of all the nice shoes you get to work with. With my feet the size they are it always seems to be hard to find shoes that are both nice and that fit. Thank you for working so hard posting videos when you can and I have a question. The Saphir products, if I had a leather purse that needs to be cleaned and then I imagine conditioned, would those be a good product?

Great, video, I always wanted to see something done with trainers or skate shoes, something that's lacking from the repotoire of youtube cobblers, considering there must be a few billion wearers in the world.
