I actually played the game for the first time yesterday. I exercise regularly anyways and I got the game more out of curiosity and actually mentally derided it a little bit beforehand, thinking it would just be a gimmick to get out-of-shape gamers to move at least a little bit. But, having tried it myself now, I can say: It really is a serious workout!!
@mcmiscellaneous47062 жыл бұрын
I used to work out all the time during high school because of sports. Now that I’m in my mid 20s, well, that’s not the case. Could this be a legitimate workout plan in your opinion? It’s not like I’m trying to get shredded or anything lol. Just looking for something I could do for consistent exercise.

As someone who is quite fit, I do have to say Ring Fit really saved my physique last year. I mean I did gain a lot of weight, but it allowed me to keep muscle mass and, more importantly, functionality. I play on the highest diff and I'm currently at level 300-and-something, but now I mostly just use the game in conjunction with my gym workouts to keep mobility and activity through the day. The custom lists are a god-send
@javierquinterosurzua27672 жыл бұрын
24:40 not exactly forever, I think there's just 3 cycles. But I mean each cycle is unique enough anyways, first one is story, second one is post-game and third one gives a lot of freedom when it comes to the movements you can bring into battle

I love this game! A few things though. In between courses I do 20 crunches 20 squats and have started doing push ups and weight lifts as well. I suggest you start doing this. This game is great for getting people into fitness but I feel needs just a bit more to really start showing results. With that being said, I love RFA and am very happy I got this and grateful for the impact it has had on my well being ever since I started it up.

I'm on RingFit every day for 1.5 months except for a couple missed days...between 8-15 minutes, level 22. I either bike or walk long enough to burn 500 calories every day (missed a couple days) and I eat a full day's calories (about 2050 for me right now). I had a few days where I ate too much food but I've still lost about 15 pounds. My posture is better. My muscle tone is changing for the better. My flexibility is better. It helps, it's fun, it works.

This was a very validating listen. For the last 2 weeks and some odd, I've been cutting back my caloric intake and playing Ring Fit everyday. And I feel great! I've been really impressed with Ring Fit. I fortunately bought it before the pandemic, finally took it out of the box after the pandemic started and the game got hard to find, and it was an absolute godsend when everything shut down and other forms of exercise were removed from the equation. It's neither the most comprehensive workout nor the most compelling RPG you can find, and I usually try to add some cardio on the side. That said, it is a real workout, and a real game, and it balances the various things it tries to do brilliantly. I genuinely hope they keep it going and make a sequel eventually, but there's enough content there that you won't run out of stuff to do anytime soon.

I'm playing it now for 3 weeks and play it 3 times a week. I'm really overweight but don't have any problems with my body when I play this game... but yeah the level(s) where you have to squat and hold them for like 20-30 times are just evil... I felt that in my legs for around 4 days. I can't remember on which intensity I started but currently I'm at intensity 12 and still feel very good. What I realized after 2 weeks is that my breathing got much better. I'm at chapter 8 or 9 right now and still have really much fun playing and exercising. My body stats are: Height: 6'6" (1,97m) Weight: 308lbs (140kg) Age: 31 (31 duh) Edit: I'm always aiming to burn at least 200 calories but at the moment it's around 250.

I have a heart rate monitor that tracks calories burned based on my HR, age, height, sex, and weight. Based on my experience with tracking calories that way, I actually burn a lot more calories than Ring Fit Adventure thinks I do. I usually play for 30-60 mins, and RFA will say I burn 100-150 calories, but the HR monitor will say more like 300. I think it’s because RFA only counts calories burned in each active exercise, but if my HR stays elevated, I keep burning calories.

Weight loss happens in the kitchen, getting in shape happens in the gym...great advice I will always remember from when I started my weight loss journey about 6 years ago (obviously any type of exercise will help put you in a caloric defecit but if you eat like garbage you will 100% go back into a surplus unless you're running a marathon everyday or have an extremely fast metabolism)

I'm not necessarily looking to "workout". I just don't have the time or the emotional drive for that gym life. But I am interested in shedding some pounds (while also changing my diet as well of course). So would people recommend this for that more casual "i just want to be healthier" lifestyle?
@CBreezie2 жыл бұрын
@Danny Idrovo well I do enough lifting at work (all I do is lift and handle 50 pound boxes all day lol) so sounds like as long as I alter my diet, I should be good to go.
@sambarris98432 жыл бұрын
Yes. I tend to add some extra cardio on the side, but it'll give you some cardio and some calisthenics. If you stop the first time it suggests (after 10-15 minutes of actual exercise and 20-30 minutes of overall time depending on how much you fiddle with smoothie menus and such), you'll get a pretty light workout with a good balance of different stuff.
@MasterTrainerPeter2 жыл бұрын
Hey, personal trainer here. If you're not interested in the gym life, thats totally fair! To start dropping weight, the main thing you've got to focus on is that diet change! Calculate your rough total daily calories and then eat 90% of that over a day as a good starting point. As far as the game goes, I 100% recommend it for some fun bodyweight and aerobic training. It can definitely be a good addition for a healthier lifestyle overall.

I’ve been doing one level each day before work, (where I’m on my feet for at least 8 to 9 hours, zipping around and stocking up a busy shop) for about a month now out of about 3 after 14 months or furlough. I have far more energy throughout the day than I would have without the exercise, have lost all the lockdown weight and know the exercises well enough to do a quick workout without turning the switch on if I’m short on time. Definitely in my top 3 switch experiences.

In terms of weight gain/loss I would suggest checking once per week IF anything BUT I will say this, it's not about weight it's about body. What I mean by that is simply this, fat weighs less than muscle. So you might think you're gaining weight but really you're losing fat and gaining muscle. Be aware of that because sometimes the scales can lie to you and make you think you're gaining fat weight when you aren't! Otherwise this makes me want to buy ring fit adventure right now and I still don't have a darn switch!! Weighting (notice the pun) on the OLED!!
