I remember seeing this in the theater. The entire theater was on the floor during this bit. I'm pretty sure I technically died like 3 times during Bernie Mac's set. He made you forget the other 3 had even been on stage and their sets/bits were plenty funny.

my husband and i (ex now) went to a matinee to see it. there were maybe 6 or 7 other ppl there too. we laughed so hard it sounded like theater was full! 1 lady was sobbing she was crying so hard and it made us laugh even louder! funny is universal, if you're funny, all kinds of people will laugh.

@@joshuabolton3866 yep in the year 2000. It was directed by spike Lee. Me and my homie was like 14-15 and got dropped off at the theatre and laughed our ass off🤣🤣🤣Martin had a stand up called run tell dat that came out in theaters around that time too

Me, too!! 😊 Of all the comedy I've EVER seen, this "bit" by far has always been my favorite/funniest. Hands down. For 20 years nothing else has even come close to topping it!! Love seeing someone else enjoy it as much as ME!!

I saw this shit when it came out in theater in 2000. Only hispanic person in a theater full of black people and let me tell you, we were all like this. As soon as the dvd came out i got it cuz i had missed so much the first time from laughing too hard.

I would rather watch two people who keep pausing because they were laughing hysterically than watching most reaction videos that are comprised of morons who pause every 30 seconds to EXPLAIN the comedy to us like we're toddlers and THEY are genius. That's why he was one of the king of comedy, for me Mac was one of the best using the punchline technic in comedy that is very difficult trade because if you don't know how to use it the audience can turn around on you I mean emotionally and instead of laugh and have a good time they get bored and Mac was one of the best,the space and rhythm of his jokes are incredible well timed ,in my book Bernie Mac is/was one of the best comedians of modern times

Today would have been my father's 80th birthday, he passed away in December of last year. He was 5'9" and maybe weighed 130 lbs when he was in the Air Force in the '60s. He was the only white guy on his base's traveling basketball team and spent a lot of time with black dudes. The Original Kings of Comedy DVD was one of his very favorite pieces of media and Bernie Mac in particular just cracked him up. He laughed at this bit just the way you guys are, doubled over and in physical pain from the laughter. I can't watch this without getting a little emotional, especially today. Miss ya pops!

By the way, towards the end of the video, when you're lovely lady said she 'has an ugly laugh', just a second before that I was thinking how cute of a laugh it was.
