Yes!!! I'm a massive fan of his! I absolutely love his orchestrations (some of those string parts are AMAZING)!!! Orchestrating is a very difficult job, trying to capture the essence of the story whilst trying to add a whole new dimension and bringing a new level of emotion to a piece, yet he does it so well! He truly is a remarkable orchestrator, bringing the entire show alive! And since today is his birthday, I should also say have a very happy birthday!

So did he write the instrumentals completely or build off of something Pasek and Paul worked on? If he wrote all the instrumentals then I have to say he's one of the greatest musical theater composers ever. Whenever I try to write something in GarageBand and such I feel like he's a huge inspiration and stylistic influence to me.

Alex's orchestrations for this show are almost as awesome as his work on In the Heights! The music may sound like generic pop rhythms on the outside but on the inside it beautifully tells the story.

I love the music in this show. from the second I heard my first song (I heard a bit of Waving Through a Window in a mashup!!) I was hooked. Its such an amazing, beautiful soundtrack for my favorite show out there!! Cant wait to possibly be seeing it towards the end of the year 😊😊

He also worked on Hamilton, The Greatest Showman and In The Heights. Ham, ITH, TGS and DEH are my favorite musicals and most of what I listen to. Alex Lacamore worked on all of them. So I love Lac.
