Welcome back everyone, this week I was lucky enough to be able to interview the team for the local swift group, as a species they have been in a slow decline, and I wanted to find out why? and more about them, so I reached out to the local Swift group to invite them on the show to talk to them!
We talked about their history as a species (shock to me, I found out they are older than humans. ) As well as talking about some ways we can help them, hopefully, stop the decline and come back to strong numbers!
They are mostly seen flying over the tops of buildings, only slowing down to come in and nest!
Fun fact, in normal flights they are around the same speed as a peregrine falcon, the only time the peregrine is faster, is of course in a drive!
