My beloved soulmate, my best friend, my wife, my Irene, passed away from cancer this past Feb at the age of 50. This song kills me. I cry so hard. I just discovered it a month ago. I try to listen to it every day. I love her so much. She loved me more and harder. I will never be loved like that again. We started dating when I was 18 and she was 17. Married 9 years later. 34 years together. We grew up together. Built an amazing life together. Raised 6 children. 3 biological and three of my nieces who we call daughters. We had such wondrous plans for the future and then she was stolen from me. Friends said they could see the love we had for each other every time they looked at us. They said we were writing the greatest love story ever told. Then it was over. I am left to carry on and build something from the ashes of eternal grief. Even when I have a "good" day, it will never be as good as it was with her. I don't think I will ever have a great day again. Every achievement by my kids or myself will have sadness.

I played this at my brothers candle light vigil and his memorial. I love this song. I also played this at my mother's funeral. This song was my everything for awhile. May God bless those who are going through any loss or pain.

Lost my parents 7 weeks apart. My Mom passed from kidney/ heart failure and My Dad from Lung Cancer. This song is spot on with my feelings. I miss them both everyday for many reasons but I cling to Jesus knowing I will see them again one day. They will be pain free next time we are together and we never be apart again. Until then I think about them...

This part of movie just dragged my tears out endlessly...

Because of this movie, I again acknowledged our Father- was brought back to the fold. In 2021 I was diagnosed with esophageal cancer. I woke one morning after the phone call of cancer, and as I lay still in bed for a few. I had a beautiful Angel, divine light, which was about 7-10’ feet tall. In the presence of this Angel I felt nothing but all enveloping love. I walked up to the Angel, and the body was pure divine light. Standing next to this beautiful being made me feel as though I was a child, and as I looked up to this being, large wings came out from behind and wrapped around me. The love I felt was love I had never ever been given by a human. I do not remember when this Angel left, but I remember opening my eyes and crying because of the experience.I have had a rough life of abuse starting at age 5. After the phone call from my doctor saying I had cancer, he scheduled a quick appointment with another doctor for endoscopy. It was about 3-days from his initial call. I showed up for appointment, and it took about 45 minutes or an hour and then I checked out and went home. Both doctors got together and I was told there was nothing there! 😮 That beautiful Angel healed me. I still go back every 4 months to check and everyone has been the same- no signs of cancer. So believe and have faith. I have always talked with my Guardian Angel, Ascended Masters and of course our Divine Creator. I don’t pray and ask for anything, because asking means you don’t believe you’ll get whatever your asking for without asking first. That’s just not true- just believe and have faith. 🙏

Everyday be in the word and pray to our beloved Christ, Father of Abraham so you will know what is right and true! The Lord speaks to us in different ways and when you hear His Word may you have wisdom, guidance, love, mercy and grace.

My brother lost his wife last year 2/19/20 over childbirth. He lost his baby boy 4 months later. Him and his two older kids, my niece and nephew have become the reason why I cry so much sometimes, especially to this song. He still misses her so much and always carries them in his heart.

9/12/2022 My heart bleeds so much. I had a friend, a grandmother, an aunt, a family, a whole world in one single person who passed away today. She was battling the terrible disease C. When they found out they immediately started treating it but it turns out it started to spread so fast through her organs and doctors everywhere said "she's only got a week". She didn't have just a week. She had months. Months that God used her and her mouth to announce the Evangel. That woman was a true miracle,because even dying she always showed us a truly smile and touching words. Anyway,was hard writing this but I just wanna remember how God is increndible and a God of miracles. He loves us,and He loves you!

I lost my wife last week, Michelle Renee Simmons, to the exact same surgery that was performed 4 years earlier to the day, because it reminded me on Facebook, my rejoicing that her surgery went OK. But I have never had a peaceful life never not in 54 yrs. I just keep asking what is this God?? I am talking to him nonstop and as I find myself weery of the world I cry out loud again what is it?? And he has not answered so I have believed that my life was going to accumulated story to share with others at some point In life.. But I am tired right now!! I am hurting and tired!! I lost my father unexpectedly, August 20, 2020 only 5 days after my moms birthday. My mom and dad had gone to Mexico to get away from covid, my father wanted to be close to his dad because he had cancer. That morning he was fixing something on his roof, slipped and felt head first it was an instant death 🥺 my grandpa was very sad, asking God why he took his son and not him, exactly 2 months later he took my grandpa. This movie has brought me closer to God and believe my father left with god to prepare my grandfather’s arrival in heaven, I know they are happy together in heaven… I miss you grandpa and dad 💞

I went through tough times myself. Three years it took me to heal and gain strength to move forward. Today, I do think of the love of my life but not like I use to. I didn't lose a child but I lost my way. Finally with prayers, I'd keep asking for guidance. It started happening a little at a time. Days started getting better. Happiness started to surface. Dark clouds over me turned to sunshine. Tears turned into laughter. Forgiveness and not giving up in yourself or God, works in great ways.

I lost my son July 2009 to a drunk driver. He was the one thing in this life that I didn't screw up, he was my best friend, my fishing buddy, my rock when life knocked me down. This book, the CD, and then the movie helped me understand that through all, God was with me. He was with Aaron as I stood and held his hand and watched him flatline. The Shack helped me understand that I can look forward to seeing Aaron again and that god's love for me is my rock.

I lost both my sons within five years apart. My youngest passed first and this book was given to me by a friend but I didn't feel it applied to me. I read it in its entirety when my oldest was murdered five years later and recently watched the movie. It was touching.

I just saw The Shack over the weekend on tv. Didn't know what it was about but kept my attention and I continued watching. That waterfall wasn't the only thing flowing. Great perspective, great acting, great picture, and one of the best films I've see in a long time. Very well done. I'm adding this to my collection and I'll be watching it again.
