Dr. Noubar Afeyan sits down with CivilNet host Eric Hacopian to review his humanitarian and charitable work in Armenia, particularly his new Spiritual Revival Foundation. They discuss the ongoing detention of philanthropist Ruben Vardanyan in Azerbaijan, what the diaspora misunderstands about Armenia, and why the quest for justice must be an integral part of Armenia’s peace process with Azerbaijan.
Afeyan is the founder and CEO of Flagship Pioneering, a company that creates bioplatform companies to transform human health and sustainability. An entrepreneur and biochemical engineer, he holds more than 100 patents and has co-founded more than 70 life science and technology startups during his 36-year career. He is the co-founder of the Aurora Prize for Awakening Humanity, as well as the co-founder and chairman of the board of Moderna, the pioneering messenger RNA company that created one of the first COVID-19 vaccines.

American Armenian or Armenian American … that was very well put . Unfortunately in majority of cases they diaspora Armenians think of Armenia as nothing else as Soviet dacha

I understand that Armenia is very backwards compared to other civilized countries. LGBT rights are a literal disgrace in Armenia and it's holding back progress

Please elaborate on what you mean backwards compared to other civilized countries? The Caucasian word sprang from where Armenia is, and the Caucasian civilizations along with it. Who decided that civilized counties are judged based on their lgbt rights?!
