Just to make things clear, I'm not defending nor condone the use of the word "rape." I do not use the word myself and that is probably the reason I wasn't banned. Nobody here is old enough the understand the effect it may have on those who have or know of someone who has experienced it. The point I was trying to make is that I felt that it was harsh for rare to ban people for the use of this word amongst a private discord server made up of just a bunch of teenage friends who think nothing of the word. They didn't take this harsh language to the game and to the public, kinda like the how the way you act around friends differs from the way you act at work. The point I made about the phrase "earrape" wasn't meant to act as a defense for the word rape, but was moreso just a question as to whether or not we should also be condoning the use of this word. Again, I do not agree with the use of this word, but am sticking up for my friends who were punished for what I believe was harsh, as they kept the use of this harsh language between themselves. A punishment would be understandable, but the permanent loss of 70+ accounts was a lot in my opinion. I appreciate everyone voicing their opinion and of course, if you do not agree with me I would still love to hear you reasoning behind it. Thanks again everyone.

It has been confirmed that logic will not be being unbanned. Rare said that they are aware of the situation with impersonations, probably because so many told them about it, but said they won't unban him because *he has several reports on his account.* Imagine. I haven't touched the game in 4+ months and still have 50+ reports just from people who watched my videos. I once had 130 reports for cheating on my account. So by Rare's banning system, if people _think_ your cheating, you get to stay banned. Ofc, they dont actually look into anything. GG Rare

I'm a boomer who has been playing SOT for about a year and a half. Despite me being an average player ,I thoroughly enjoy the game. With that being said, Rare is awful. They constantly make content updates a priority over fixing gameplay and mechanic issues. I swear SOT gets some new BS glitch I haven't seen before, every update. They introduce a game and allow it's players to get accustomed to the way things operate, only to change it out of nowhere. They ban your account because some asshole had a name similar to yours ? Are you kidding me? And all they say is "apologies mate" like what the hell are they doing over there? It's really a shame.

Out of anything that would kill the game i didn't think it would be a puppet. Good luck with your future Middle it was fun experiencing the montages and TDMs and stuff. Hopefully you and the Bandits will find a new game to dominate on. Thank you and all the Bandits for being so interactive with the community through out the time when SOT was alive. We will miss the SOT montages

Yikes, I only heard about this recently. As much as I have disassociated myself from Sea Of thieves. It really sucks to see this shit happening, again. Happened with Ashbacon and the misfits, and almost got Tart Tee banned as well. Rare has no desire to keep around any half decent player. The fact that Rare did bans based off of a discord, not in game actions, a discord. That is inexcusable. I really hope you guys end up getting things resolved and hopefully get the accounts back, but knowing Rare, I doubt it.

When I began playing Sea of thieves I immediately went to double gunning, and pvp unlike my friends who prefered pve. We all pvp now, and enjoy it much more and getting better due to you inspiring me. I am sad to see the whole cancel culture take a weird reverse turn here, where companies cancel people because someone got offended. Being offended is irrelevant, and teaching a child that being offended means everyone will listen to your every whim is so destructive it simply cannot be put into words.

i remember playing the game on controller when wailing barnacle update came out and it having zero updates and dead servers and then monthly update coming out and Arena and a bunch of more stuff coming out and i thought the game would have gotten better and till they started banning people for spawn camping 120 fov streamers able to delete anyone’s account and a lot of bugs the game is terrible now rip

The outrage of misgendering a frickin' puppet part shows you what ridiculous people the couple behind Rocco are. Not least of all because the voice is clearly a female so it's to be expected but their monumental toxic narcissism doesn't allow this kind of common mix up. It shows you that these people take themselves far too seriously and are high on their own self satisfied streamer farts. I don't agree with some of the harassment stuff at all, particularly the get raped stuff, don't think people should be banned for it though.

It's so stupid honestly, the bandits were the best players in the game imo and I really looked up to you guys. They banned more than 100 of the most skilled players in the game for what? Toxicity? Please, everyone who has played SOT for more than 2 hours has been toxic at least once. Why am I not banned if that's the case? They just want good players to be gone so the noobs can be happy on the sea of merry friends, that's the issue here. I heard even Beers from Pace's crew got permanently banned. I don't even know if I want to keep playing this game knowing that's how things work. But if I do, you can rest assured knowing that we'll continue to dumpster sword lords in your name. The bandits are gone but your legacy lives on, the PvP community will make sure of that. Fuck all of this. I really feel this whole situation is being thrown too heavily on SayRocco. I agree that he might be going too far with some reports and did ( most likely) misunderstand some of the meaning of some of the words used. Now i learned myself why the word rape shouldnt be used as its.... very damaging to those he experienced such hell and the uttering of the word can cause unneeded pain ( even if contexually it had nothing to do with rape). I think the biggest culprits here is the Staff of SoT. I have never witnessed such crappy misshandling of bans and such mishandiling is causing streamers like rocco to be attacked extra hard as now he is a target of many peoples anger as they now see him as the reason they were banned.

Yeah I was banned because of sayheyrocco. I 1v4ed his entire crew and I did some light trash talking, then I log on the next day and I’m banned.

Iv'e always feared this the day they introduced this Partner Program. No game should have such a thing, cathering towards streamers, youtubers etc. But i mean Rare don't listen to the PvP community anyway. Tarttee & Jibran pleeded Rare to not remove the sword exploits, and they ignored them. To me, Even with all these content updates & PvP changes. The game still felt stale, Very few ships, Nothing to do or see on islands besides quests, the game didnt change much. I quit a while ago after they nerfed the sword to the ground.

7:02 You have to be careful with IP bans, as you do not know if they are Personal Home IP's, or more public like College/Universities or Starbucks/Macdonalds. If you IP ban, you could end up banning dozens or more people using shared internet. Happened in a company I worked for, We banned our service to an IP, turned out to a shared wi-fi service that stopped a fair few customers using the service. Also you would hope people learn from their mistakes, and buying the game again is a kind of a "Fine"

Idk man. I think your community is freaking amazing, and i tried to learn the way of TDM and DGunning looking your videos. Anyway i think the flaming is a problem in any game and also in SoT for sure. The most of times when you find a real good player on SoT and he comes on your ship and start to kill everyone his hands itch if he doesn't write anything salty..
