In today's vlog, I take you along as we try to survive the Rogers outage which took out all cellular and internet access across most of Canada for the whole day. It doesn't seem like it should be a big deal but I realized pretty quickly that I am ill prepared to handle that reality.

You made the very point that I made to myself while watching this vlog, Tina. It’s funny how we feel like we can’t seem to function without our internet these days. I’ve had those moments too where I’d see the whole street outside when the internet somehow goes down in my area. It’s almost like you’ve gotta force yourself to snap out of it whenever that happens. It’s crazy to think how dependent everyday society has become for it. At least you and the family were able to find ways to make the best of the situation :)

I agree with your new outfits, feel the same way about them as you do! We have to go back to our old ways of how we lived before the internet... at least we know what that's like :) I too am always thinking about investing in a hard landline...

Car radio. Or a battery/windup emergency light/radio. Have used it so many times with winter outages Bundles are not our friend. Separate isp. Cell. Hard wired landline. Cable with pvr. An old DVD player. Cash in the back of the drawer And a stack of old school books. The joy of old school life
