I don't know how I got here, but I found this house tour! Thank you for an introduction to a Japanese home. As for the cicadas, I grew up in Texas, so I'm super used to them but that is really *really* loud! 😅 How exciting to have such a great home - congratulations!!!

I can't believe what you paid. That seems so reasonable compared to other vids I've seen about Japanese real estate. I love your tardis house! It looks so small from the outside angle, but inside there's such clever ways of maximising space. I hope you'll have many happy times in your home

@@anthonydelrey1699 are you really comparing Las Vegas with Tokyo? Tokyo has a population of 40 mil people, Las Vegas is like 3 mil people, that's less than 10% of Tokyo. You should compare with the prices in NYC. You can offer whatever you want, let's see what you get for 215,000 in Tokyo hahaha.
@BeckBeckGo
@BeckBeckGo 8 ай бұрын
How the hell did they find this space for that price in TOKYO??
@KoinzellGaming
@KoinzellGaming 6 ай бұрын
This is nothing (In terms of what you could really get in Japan). I mean, if you're willing to live in a city that's an hour away from Tokyo by train, you can find really nice houses that are up to 1300sq ft for about 150k USD (with all the stores you need in a walking distance). The house in this video still has a "Tokyo price" to it. Same is with apartments, you can find apartments slightly outside of Tokyo for like 400USD a month, or if you buy it you could buy one for 60k (+renovate it) or so. Not to mention that Japan has some of the most generous home loan rates you can find - less than 1% annually in a lot of cases. Summary: Japan has some of the most generous housing markets you can find if you're willing to live outside of Tokyo - in some cases you could also get a free house or get money to move in (tho a contract has to be signed that you won't leave) if you don't mind living in a small town in the countryside.

Congratulations on purchasing your new home! 🏡 Purchasing a house is always a huge accomplishment( if home ownership is your goal). It can be an expensive , emotional, exiting , and stressful process most of the time in our home countries. I can't imagine trying no navigate that process as an expat.

Congratulation on the new house! This is no small adventure for Japan. I lived (stationed) in Tachikawa between 1964 and 1966 then moved to Matsumoto until 1974 and married a Japanese girl. We also bought a house on the side of the mountains. I totally feel your delight and excitement. Then because of the fuel shortage (rationing) we were forced to return to the US. We sold the house after 5 years and made a nice profit. My first wife died and I remarried another Japanese girl. We are back in Tachikawa for the first time in 48 years. Tachikawa use to be a dump with the military base but after the base closure in 1977, Tachikawa rebuilt into a modern first class city. Good luck on your new adventure and maybe I’ll see you on the streets as I’ll be around town until November. Bill and Akemi
