21:30 The moment of revelation. Also, there is the relic called "Royal Seal." That allows your pieces to also move like a king. For Blade Dancers, it (basically) fuses the Blade Dancer with its predecessor, the Assassin; that, in turn, makes it the ultimate boss-killer.

28:56 probably that was an "insta oneshot" for the boots. But since you are actually killing rocks it just disables. Imagine the marching boots with mages... Devs programmed an "anti boot mage" oneshot, but THEY NEVER SAW SIFD COMMING !!! 30:00 yup, this xD

As a chess enthusiast I'd like to give you the tip to activate all of your pieces, and to try not to tunnel focus too much on a single idea or a single piece. Sometimes taking a few turns to bring in an extra piece that is weaker is better than fiddling around with an attack that doesn't quite have the power you need to succeed Also, chess is a game where you can generally make only one move at a time. So, when your opponent made a move you only need to focus on what's different from the previous game state Idk if that makes sense, but hope that helps

That's true for chess, but this is basically the endgame, where wasting turns to activate pieces is much riskier than in the early game

Another thing I saw, sorry if it was answered further down the video or in a comment already: Knowing the pegasus movement I think is pretty obvious if it comes to predicting where you can or cannot move - first it moves like a horse, as in 8 tiles of an opposite color, and then it moves to another one of (up to) 8 tiles of the color it started at. That means that where you can move is "not where it moves first [as a horse] AND land on an opposite color of where it starts at". Or if you're experienced enough in chess you could probably mentally highlight every single pegasus possibility haha, so for most people (me included) the statement above is probably the start. Edit: I forgot that every move is highlighted... well, there's to hope there will be a way of increasing difficulty by hiding those

Blade Dancer feels like Myrmiddon / Swordmaster in Fire Emblem. Busted unit that parries every attack and returned it with crits.

Blade Dancer is like the idealized swordmaster. Most FE swordmasters suffer from low move (ironic since blade dancer has great move) and low strength (something blade dancer doesn’t worry about)

the pagasus rider is an AI piece. its complicated to plan so its only really useful for the ai, which can basically use it perfectly and plan several traps in advance due to its very wide attack and move range.

The game really has been improved a lot. Balance on the Assassin/Bladedancer, obviously, and many more units. But also getting an alternate rewards if you can't upgrade/recruit.

I think the fool is being underrated. Plant a fool where a diagonal can take, and you've locked Every piece that can move diagonal. Same with horizontal. Curious if backstabbing knife works with the "Upgrade on kill" units/relics.

As soon as I saw you could attack again after taking a piece I knew the assassins would be broken as all hell, but then you throw in stone breaking also counts as taking a piece just wow.

The "swap pieces as your move" seems minimally useful, but I wonder. 1 - Portal mage to safe(ish) spot on back row. 2 - swap marching pawn and mage. Is that a quick queen upgrade? Seems like it might be...

two forward L shaped, not 2 any direction L. if you look at when he placed his mouse on the enemy Pegasus, the Pegasus can't take the fool, then that means, Fool can't take the Pegasus too since they're the same.

You should add the ability to skip your turn for some sort of benefit. Like if you skip your turn you get an extra weak piece or 3 rocks randomly span on the board

if u think that blade dancer + break rocks is op then you need to know that rook in a bottle works with the blade dancer essentially making it a team killer on move 1-2

There are 4 difficulty levels in the settings, seems like you're on the lowest one. But they're weird, I couldn't beat the second one for couple times, but beat the hardest one on the first try.

Oh, it seems like there's progression if you beat the game and start a new run. On the second run of the hardest difficulty the game doesn't let you pick units, and starts you with rook, bishop and a knight, which was instant loss for me, lol.

The enemy general is not immune as you kept thinking, he is imprisoned, thus can't move. It means nothing, just a visual representation of you getting a double move

Pegasus Rider looks like it is just a knight that moves once or twice with the same L shape direction if it moves twice. They definitely could have described that as a double moving knight and used visuals to show it better. Lol blade dancer is broken. That is definitely why units like that should only get to move again once per turn. Otherwise they sweep easily.
