Looks like a great neighborhood! I love the way it's still possible to buy land and build a house in Russia. As you mentioned, it's near on impossible to do something like this in the UK now. It looks like a cottage village where they sell ready-made houses, because all the houses are the same, built by the same developer. There are such settlements all over Russia. And by the way there are settlements in different styles: English, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, etc. And how did it happen that you built a house to order? It's a little confusing. So, all the houses were sold and on your order the developer built another house for your family?

Welcome to our wonderful country! Have you ever thought about organizing a business to build a village for English-speaking immigrants in Russia? I think it will be easier for people from England, Canada and the USA to move into a ready-made house and English-speaking neighbors. You can earn a lot. I think the demand will soon be huge...

Sounds good, but we have mixed feelings on that having seen such communities in Spain, where people live there for decades without learning the language and mixing with locals.

@@RussianTravels Well, that’s unlikely to happen. I am sure that half of the houses will be bought by the Russians themselves, eager to live in little England.... Orenburg is a wonderful city. Be sure to visit other cities of the Volga region and the Urals: Ufa, Samara, Kazan, Yekaterinburg, Chelyabinsk, Ulyanovsk. A little further Tyumen, Yaroslavl, Volgograd, Nizhny Novgorod. Each of them is unique and rapidly developing and transforming.There seem to be excellent cruises on the Volga. Be sure to visit the north of Russia (Karelia), Baikal, Altai. In winter you can have great skiing in the Caucasus. And even in summer, a visit to Grozny, Derbent, Kislovodsk will leave an impression for life...I’m even silent about Moscow, St. Petersburg, Sochi and Krasnodar...My wife and I and our children usually travel around Russia all summer. If you rent apartments by the day, it’s quite affordable, but you’ll get a lot of impressions.

@@RussianTravels Well, that's unlikely to happen. Half of the houses will be bought up by Russians themselves, eager to live in little England. Then Russia also consists of national republics, where many speak their own language, they have their own culture, their own religion, which does not prevent them from loving Russia no less than Russians. We are united by common civilizational values. Here next to you, as an example, Tatarstan and Bashkiria

@@RussianTravels Congratulations on the move and the house. From Canada, wishing you a great life ahead. If I may ask, how much would something like that cost? I'm married to a Russian as well, and wondering how you got a residency without the language or what type of residence permit was it as my wife told me there's some sort of government exam for the language. Can you please talk about that? Thank you!
@RussianTravels
@RussianTravels 5 ай бұрын
@yaseraljallad thank you for your question Yaser. I was exempt from language exam because I have half-Russian children. The house cost is under $100k, but it depends on region and area of the city. Posher the area, higher the cost.

How much would an ordinary lot for a 120 m2 house with garage cost in the Krasnodar krai? And how much would a house cost to the stage of "turn-key"? I have seen the most beautiful designed brick houses. Even the paving stones look beautiful, and the fences with bricks! Unbelievable beautiful to my eyes. If you can not answer this, a guess, or maybe even the cost for same in your town would be helpful. I very much appreciate your reply. Whenever I look at the house prices, I figure there must be something missing. It is so low compared to us in Canada. Or maybe the lot is an additional expense not included in the price.

It really depends on a region. This house is about 130 square meters including a garage on 500 sq m plot of land. The total cost of finished house including insides will be less than £100k, but the prices do go up though.

Hi Pal, Sorry I don't know your name...(I'm a new sub)... As an ex pat Brit living in Canada for the last 24 years, I kinda had the same feelings about Canada when I first moved here, Sadly the liberal party with Trudeau at the helm has driven this country into the ground. We are a laughing stock of the world now, all woke crap forced down your throat daily, legalizing of hard drugs have ruined so many lives here, homeless people in every town...The political landscape is terrible...taxed to death with no future for our kids.....You tube...main and hastings in Vancouver to see what I mean....It's unreal pal.....Home ownership is out of reach for most..your place would be 800,000$ to a million dollars. Russians were known as the " Baddies" the more you tube channels I watch the more lies we have been fed by western media. The Russians seem beautiful people with no hatred as made out. I think your channel is getting traction as people are wanting content on moving to Russia... If you want some ideas on content, I think you could do a builder series where you spend a day with each trade. As a tradesmen that would be interesting content...no ones has done this yet. Maybe talk about salaries and home costs etc. Russel has the groceries covered...lol Anyhow hope you get to see this comment. Take Care.
