You need to turn down his Throttle Mid Voltage (V) to 1.50 and turn up the Throttle Mid Current (A) to 300, then the Accelerate (MS) down to 35 for more start-up torque. If that doesn't work he needs another 6s 12ah lipo in parallel to get more amps. The 12ah battery is just not enough IMO even though it's a lipo it's going to sag on a hard startup. Anyway, they look like a blast. I don't think Steve will ever be happy until it littery loops him off the back and bruises his Bum, lol.

I’ve got a kugoo g booster twin motor it’s sat at standard 48v 1600watt but the motors are good for 1200w each so 2400w what would you suggest to get it to the 2000 or 2400w for more speed it does 36mph I’m looking for 40-50 haha any suggestions? I had a razor350 years ago and put a extra batt on and got 45mph out of it but it fried the controller after 6 months . Great vid

Great video, wheel spin and traction I would say is the problem, look at the line of dirt his bike was carving, it wasn't gripping, I would wind the power down some and look at traction modes on the controller if that's possible, also maybe a taller wheel and or gearing, also you might find the rim and the tyre are slipping, Mark the rim and the tyre with a marker pen to check, that's a lot of power through a small wheel, my electric BMX used to slip on 3kw, would kill the tyres.

A longer swing arm makes a massive difference to getting the power down and keeping the front down.

I have the same BMS and also thought it strange you need to turn it on with a 3 to 5v battery, I am sure you have worked out by now you don't need to do this to turn the BMS on, just hit the throttle or put the battery on charge will turn it on. Keep up the great videos.

Also, the real difference is your motors, the Pancake will have more torque due to the poles being longer. (well, in my understanding atleast) Pancake motors are usually wider but not as deep and end up having better efficiencies. (This has been exploited in the 3D printing space too for filament drivers btw)

Steve's bike will never be as fast because voltage is lower on the 18s 😂 and gearing could be playing a part but the voltage is why its slower.

Less sag on graphene batteries, so could be very close voltages under load. Will be interesting to see what the lowest voltage recorded is on their VBMS apps.

@@Pupenhausen yes there would be less sag but Andy's pack is made from 21700 cells so won't sag as much as you would think. No mater what you say the extra 10 volts is where the speed difference is

Check out bicyclemotorworks.com if you are in the USA. Matt builds and sells Legit 72v Samsung 40T 21700 cell or Samsung 30T 18550 cell packs that are beasts! He has perfect-sized ones for these dirtbikes or can make you a custom one. I have tried several other places and the cells were fake. You would never know unless you take the battery apart and they won't last long. I know how to build my own now, but his batteries are legit if you don't build them yourself.

The graphines will definitely have less sag under load btw, they're barely breaking a sweat!

@@JamiePineappleWyatt I run 40152 LiFePO4 cells 24s1p. They will smoke these turnigy batteries in amps and longevity…fitting in an ebike is a challege tho, unless you have a custom build based around your battery pack.

@@jimhofoss9982 the size of your cells makes it a bit of an elephant vs a mouse comparison 😂 If you had lipo in a similar form factor the lipo would smash the lifepo4 for current delivery. But never longevity. Biggest reason to go lipo is weight reduction and better voltage sag under load

longer swing arm will make it stay down moore ya want better response there is a throttle cable set up its a box that sends the curent for throttle but you run a normal mptprbike cable throttle you can set the response alot better second you turn throttle or delay it very good and cheep mod

Higher voltage = higher top speed. Higher AH = longer run time and more amps available to the motor for higher torque/faster acceleration.

No, you'd need to add more cells to the battery to bring it up to 72v as well as add a 72v controller.

From a biker's point of view Steve's bike produces a bigger Cockerell crest of mud than yours does on take off. This could be as Steve says as a result of swing arm length, but also rebound on the shocks. His bike is pushing the rear wheel off of the ground. That is what needs countering.. Try swapping rear shock absorbers over as a test, see if that changes the characteristics

It should give me more torque, a slight loss of speed top end but im all over a race with the beasts!! 😃😂haha.... Mighy be worth u guys looking at different sized sprockets as well. Just a thought! BMS is a good idea for lipos, especially a programmable one where you can set limits. You need to look after lipos.

I don't use BMS on hobby packs just balance charge, had too many BMS systems kill the battery when unattended however for your mate who's less technical a BMS is a must imo, I used to use those Nano cells they are pretty decent although I'd prefer it if they spent more on the battery than the fancy box and little bag you get with them.

Purely a semantic argument that one, does a guy that builds a car build the chassis? No it's a component in the build that may or may not have been there, fact is Andy built the bit that made these work, some people do fun shit like Andy and other people criticise the words they use? @@knoxieman Having stripped and 'built' a motorbike from scratch, plus, my current bike ive stripped and built with a ton of new components for touring, mainly Givi stuff, i know what im talking about.... Swapping a battery out doesn't mean hes 'built' a bike, its nothing more than a click bait title, and very disrespectful to those whos spent weeks if not months 'building' their bikes/cars.
