In 2023, I hosted "We Buy Skin Wednesdays" on my Instagram page in which my followers sent me hundreds of pictures and videos of them c̶o̶m̶m̶i̶t̶t̶i̶n̶g̶ a̶c̶t̶s̶ o̶f̶ v̶a̶n̶d̶a̶l̶i̶s̶m̶ spreading the word of FREAKBAiT across the world.
It was a completely unintentional happenstance. I had made the We Buy Skin poster as a background joke in a video and people requested it be made available to print out. With that, my inbox flooded with hundreds of messages from people putting the signs up all around the world. Over the summer of 2023, I started sharing them to my Instagram stories, which only caused it to go even more viral. Soon enough, people were submitting translated versions and alternate bootleg versions and fan art. User submissions began to one up each other, even getting featured in Slovakian news (brainee.hnonli..., and in Denver traffic signs (see video). Over the summer months it was almost overwhelming to keep up with the submitted posts and shared stories so I created We Buy Skin Wednesday to keep them all contained to a single crazy day rather than filling my story to the brim every day of the week. What you see in this video is a compilation of a little under 400 submissions over the year of 2023. Enjoy.
