I've used the EWG almost exclusively for a couple of yrs on both pistols (slides)and carbines. Besides the usual spots, I definitely lube the Buffer spring and buffer (It's a moving part, obviously, so why wouldn't you?!). This cuts noise and keeps it smooth - because we ALL know that smooth is fast, right?. I like it becauae doesn't move or creep when you stand a gun up, Regardless, it's made for far more insanity than I'll be needing from my weapons. Buy it!

Or a nice synthetic 5w30w. Soak it and walk away if you can or if you want to get real interesting with it add a small fish tank air bubbler to agitate it. Experiment your own methods.
