a good way to keep chill your intercooler is use a soda stream bottle put a solinoid on it run a small hose to the front of the intercooler and put 2 or 3 small triclon sprayer nozzles on it you can use your haltech to run the solinoid so you can control how much you want to spray the intercooler.But you must use the soda stream bottle upside down so it sprays liquid out of the bottle but as soon as it leaves the bottle it turns to gas at a temperature of - 79 degrees c.If you use a dry ice box you have to deal with the weight and reconfigeration of intercooler if you use a soda stream bottle you can hide it any where and control it by your haltech get a soda stream machine and turn it upside down and press the plunger ans see how cold it is cheers from broken hill

Firstly , your engine shipping crate is fantastic , used to work in the freight industry and so many engine's are just wired to a crappy pallet and expected to arrive un, damaged and right way up! So excellent work there secondly really just a bit of bad luck with the blasting media feel for you on that one . I've seen that happen before to a mate , just frustrating after so much care was taken by everyone involved.On the bright side not to much damage and you have a definite answer why a problem arose . So onwards and upwards. Shit happens! Back in the day I spent months trying to fix a no start issue after an inlet swap. Turns out I left rags in the intake ports. lol

🔥🔥🔥 yeah had that same problem with vapour blastiing, brilliant finish but took hours to clean the tightly packed beads from every nook and cranny. Best way in the end was suspend above a smooth stainless bench and tap part with a hammer until no more glass beads bounced onto the bench. In addition to the usual solvent/hot soapy water/compressed air and poking every corner with a stick.

Sucky that it was as little as media in the rocker cover mate. Thankfully it wasn’t a lot worse and you were right to shut it off and not do anymore damage. Simple oversights like that baffle gets overlooked more than is mentioned, once it happens it doesnt happen again......happened to me but wont again, valve cover had trash in it from sitting and didnt think to look in it.
