Coventry fan here and all I can say is I hope for your sake that the United management team have done their homework more than you have. We aren't going to be coming to defend when you are so vulnerable defensively! Palmer is suspended and I'd be very surprised to see Tavares start the game. Should be a good game but we are a front foot team and we won't change tomorrow

i expect Coventry to play 10 men between the goalkeeper and the ball while relying on set pieces to cause most their damage. it's going to be extremely tough trying to break through them and just like the Burnley game back in September, it's going to take a moment of pure brilliance to score this semi final has got penalties written all over it

This channel is mint. Ste just talks like he’s chatting to us and delivering with facts. Playing Bruno deeper needs to be experimented, we need more chance creators in the starting XI. We’ve seen as well throughout the season when we briefly play the 3-2-5 formation Dalot or Shaw would tuck in as a 6 to support the loan midfielder to make a midfield pivot. COME ON REDS

In the PL, Rashford has 9 assists in his past 91 games…. Neto has had 9 in 19 games this season. Anthony ELANGA has had 8 in 31 games. Brennan Johnson has 7 in 26. Doku has 7 in 23. Gordon has 8 in 30. Bailey has 8 in 30. Palmer 9 in 26.

Always thought Bruno had the ability to be a conductor, we drop him into midfield and play mount as a 10 , mainoo is a 6 for me , can’t argue with that team . Although I’d have Lacey on the bench and bring him on .

Well good luck getting Mount on the pitch. He's only gone and got injured again, as well as Kwambala and Amrabat. Utd's injury record is atrocious and Mount has literally contributed 0 this season. Considering he had 1 year left and Utd paid £50m+ this was a terrible deal.

I agree entirely here Ste. Need to shake it up a little. Bruno deeper sounds like a plan. I would also be tempted to drop rasmus back slightly..almost like the 4222 that Ranick talked about. Our wide players dont pass. This way he can get on the ball and run at players.

I would love to see this line up (but maybe Antony for Amad), and it definitely would do better than the usual line up we see, but you know Ten Hag will die on his sword with Rashford, Casemiro and Bruno in the 10

Good team this week Steve. Like your reasoning. Too often we camp around the box vs weaker opposition with poor movement and lack of ball playing ability. With Bruno, Mount, Amad floating and moving in that area we definitely have more chance of creation. Potentially even Eriksen too.

I want to see Bruno deeper too. He wears the number 8, for United and Portugal, play him as an 8. Mount needs to be ahead of him on the pitch. (He's apparently injured again now, though).

Every game is a struggle, doesn't matter if we are playing Liverpool or Newport County (who were league 2, and that's 2 leagues lower than Coventry), so expect another struggle However, I do expect individual talent to get us through, because setting up with a gaping hole in the midfield every game is not gonna win the game for us.

Good team selection - might be the first one I have greed with for a while - Amad needed to be in more often. Unfortunately we've just heard that Willie K is injured - so for me - Cas has to start at CB - or McT as thats his best position anyhow. If he starts Cas, Rashy & Antony then the writings on the wall!!

Though it's good to ALWAYS go with "there are no easy games," UTD on paper obviously have the best chance of the semi-finalists to get to the final. At LEAST they must to that! Big game for ETH...and for those who start.

If Robins goes with 4 at the back, Latibaudiere will probably start at RB and Van Ewik will start at RW. Sakamoto is injured for the season and Tavares usually comes off the bench. Also O'Hare will start as Palmer is suspended.

Van Ewijk is filling in Sakamotos position as the right winger. Sakamoto has been out with a serious back injury for weeks. Palmer is also out of this game because of his 2nd yellow against Wolves. O'hare and Torp will take Palmers place.

Coventry fan here. Sakamoto is out for the season and Palmer is banned for the game so it'll be O'Hare. It's a cliche but I think the first goal is going to be massive especially with the pressure on united if Coventry get it.

What choice do we have? Well left back and center backs are where the issues are, apart from that Ten Hag has all his midfield and attacking 1st choice options available. (His first choice)

this game should suit maguire to a tee. theres also no chance mount, amad start either. it will be rashford and casemiro and this game might suit casemiro aswell but more than likely theyll both stink up the place as usual.

I want to see partnerships being formed. I like this lineup and would like to see mainoo and Bruno working together. I want to see amad linking up with Hoijund. Not seen any idea of a team so far this season.

Tbh Ste, after my experience last time. I would drive to Old Trafford rather than take the train. Trying to leave Old Trafford at night was awful. Ended up walking for 2 hours to get to my hotel

For me, if fit enough, McTominay has to play. Casemiro's legs have gone and Mainoo's making a lot of mistakes. Ten Hag has a big decision to make. There's too much on this game to get it wrong

We must put a dominant performance against Coventry, that's a given . I am ETH in and I stand by the fact that the player quality and injuries and off field stuff has really ruined our season, more than ETH's tactical choices BUT all respect to Coventry, our B team also must win against them. If by any chance we get Chelsea in the final, we have no excuses but to win the Final.
