Bonifacio Global City in Manila is awesome, The Philippines delivers again 🤙🏼🇵🇭 BGC is a must visit, we walk the high street and check out some street art in 2018 ⬇ Click 'Show More' to expand ⬇
Bonifacio Global City is in Taguig, Manila and is commonly known as BGC - it's a financial district of the Philippines and has a really cool high street. In fact all the areas around BGC are cool haha!
We explored for hours and honestly wish we could spend more time in Manila and maybe even live in Bonifacio Global City in the future. If you're visiting the Philippines, or just passing through Manila, be sure to stop off and have an afternoon walking around BGC.
We didnt really get to see much more of Taguig, but with the street art and the vibes we got from BGC alone we were impressed.

Im glad that finally someone has shared this side of the Philippines, Coz the world is so used to seeing our country being featured as severely impoverished to the point of exploitation. When in fact, only 25% of the country's population is living below poverty line and the rest of the 75% are hard earners... I think vlogs like this helps ❤️

As per 2018 statistics, only 16 percent of Filipinos live below poverty line.

It is really not that high if you take into account that the stats also includes people from remote Islands that doesn't even need $1 a day to live. The worst kind of poverty in the Philippines is actually in the Manila slum area. I just hope they lock Manila and require minimum income for residency.

The world needs more unbiased independent media like this channel to show how beautiful & modern it is in Manila. Unfortunately, most of the biased Western mainstream media only like to report about the poverty in Manila by showing the slum areas.

This Western mainstream media is sickly jealous because they do not want anyone else to be better than them or their country. Just plain arrogance! And I noticed over the years when they and some bloggers come to the Philippines, the first thing they would show are the slums and the piles of garbage. Of all the amazing places to experience and to take many pictures of these beautiful places, why on earth they had to show these ugly things as if we do not know already? If they want to show these things to us, show first their own homeless people and garbage on the street on their own backyard. They do not have to go to the Philippines to do it. So stupid actually. Go figure!

This video is timed perfectly for me. I'm flying out to Manila on the 15th and staying for 3 months for work. My parents have been quite worried about my trip (stupid stereotypes and all 😣) so I sent them this video to reassure them I'll be OK

most of Manila doesnt look like that, but if you stay in BGC then it's really nice. Nicer than most American cities. If you're not in BGC, then try to stay in Makati or Ortigas,

Miri M I will be living and working in BGC, so this was ideal. I know that the rest of Manila looks different but I needed to reassure them that I'll be OK. Parents will always be parents and they worry, especially since they never travelled this far out of Europe

What I love about the Philippines besides the food , people , nature , huge malls is how strong their ACs are lol 😂 cause here in SoKor it’s not put to it’s maximum level I think it doesn’t even do any difference lol and the how blue the sky is since it’s always clouded here

Ayala Land is building a new city in Taguig its called Arca South its a 74 hectare development, all mid-rise and just 4.7 km away from the Airport. we are pre-selling condominiums there 😁

My wife is from Makati. She lives near BGC. We go there a lot. I love the Philippines!! We will retire there. You should check out Mckinley, it's like Venice. It has a canal and gondolas.

I love this vlog as you guys got me missing the Philippines again! My wife and I had an incredible time in Manila this past November. We were in the BGC area. I absolutely loved hanging out and people watching and eating. We spent a lot of time at the Market Market mall and also checked out Aura which is a little more upscale. My wife and I have a condo in the McKinley Hill area so we spent a lot of time there as well. Funny you mentioned the really friendly guy. I think running into really friendly people in the Philippines happens constantly! Haha.. can’t wait for your next vlogs! Love it!

Yes, indeed! I'll keep checking out your other videos. If you get the chance to visit, my city is called Marikina. It's part of Metro Manila, used to be the capital of Manila in the 1800s, and is currently the shoe capital of the Philippines. It houses the Guiness' World's Largest Shoes, Kapitan Moy ancestral house, and the Marikina River Park amongst other landmarks.

I find a lot of Vloggers seem to be trying too hard to be entertaining and often their videos seem more about them than the destination. Keep up the great work! :)

BGC is such a cool place to hang out and stay while in Manila,almost feels like Singapore! So clean and organized and those street arts and funky cafes and bars create a different vibe all over! Loved the High Street during evenings with live music and bistros and cafes at both sides, was a very good experience!

PSA: Bonifacio is the surname of the Philippine Hero Andres Bonifacio where the place is named after. It used to be Fort Bonifacio, a military compound under the Armed Forces of the Philippines. That's why the locals call the place The Fort as well.

bro Allan i suggest you. if you commute drop in ayala station tas sumakay ka ng shuttle bus na west and east bus andyan mismo sa ayala station ng mrt malapit. iikot ng forbes park subdivision tpos iikotin ng bus yung bgc dpende sa bus kung east or west. end point nyan market market mall infront of sm aura. try it

welcome bro. my unit kasi ako dyan dati malapit lang sa market market kaya araw araw yan ang route ko. mas maganda dapit hapon or gabi ka pumunta para mas lalo mo ma appreciate yung lights and view ng bgc. very safe place to go. kahit magdala k pa ng gadget or wearing expensive jewelry. district yan ng mga myayaman. dont forget to take photos and enjoy.

Kapeng barako is a native Philippine coffee that we used to trade to Europe during the Hispanic era. There's still plenty of that in Batangas Province,approximately 2hour drive south of manila.

Tim Sliskovic traffic needs to be solved in the NCR before its multiple municipalities can compete globally, i would think asking the regional offices to work with the municipal governments to nationalize the jeepneys and bussing industries would help tremendously. That along with unifying the traffic laws around the multiple municipalities in the region, increasing the number of traffic enforcers, and opening the skyway for all vehicles except for container trucks, jeepneys, and busses along with the ongoing subway project would make the traffic manageable. Heck if there's enough money, we can also expand the roads, expecially in regards to the areas beside the river pasig wherein it needs to be seperated from residences. If we can also manage to instill discipline to the people living in the esteros, we can clean the many canals of manila and use it as a scenic way to travel manila.

The SM Mall of Asia, might as weell try it while you are in manila coz that's what Philippines is also known for having Big Shopping malls.

honestly there are much better malls than Mall of Asia. SM Aura in BGC is better, and Greenbelt in Makati is the nicest mall because it has nice architecture and a nice blend of indoor and outdoor.

Miri M yeah I agree but I was talking about the size which is not very common in other countries. Greenbelt and SM Aura are just high-end malls but Mall of Asia offers a scenic view of Manila Bay and a sunset that you won't see from other shopping malls in the metro. Just suggesting of a place that's unusual and can offer more than just architecture. But I still agree to your suggestions aswell.

I live in BGC and you only scratched the surface, so much to see and do. In BGC, if there is one recommendation for you to visit it would be the America Manila cemetery, highly recommend.

If you think BGC is awesome......check back in 10 years coz the Philippine Government is starting the 1st phase of construction of a new city in Central Luzon. It's called New Clark City (look it up)and it will be pattern after BGC.....and here's the kicker, it will be 5x bigger than BGC!
