Also…. Anyone going to mention the fact that they were willing to leave me riding on my own to Bangor?? And I can’t believe I’m getting blamed for putting a pin in chester and a pin in bangor… they made it to Bangor and it was all down to me.

I cycled on my fixie from leicester to Chester...and Chester to holyhead, and onto Dublin. Great cycle track from Chester over to Wales. Im hoping to do the full trip from London to Dublin this summer, over 2 days.. yes.. on my fixie 😂😂. Be good to see you do some fixie excursions..if you are hard enough 😉😉

I had the same situation in the summer trying to get my bike on the train from the Lake District. The app said there was no bike spots available but the nice lady on the platform sorted us out.

A couple of take-homes from this : you're mates Dolan looks cool. Off-roading on a gravel bike in the UK is a hard ask and is perhaps better done on a mountain bike.

Not sure this is even possible. On road we all know isn’t much. Off road is kinda…. Do a mile… Give up. Big ups. That’s a proper challenge

I’m from north Wales and I can easily say this video is the absolute epitome of trying find new “gravel” routes around here. Just mud, rivers and more walking 😂

Another interesting video, you can get from Chester to Flint off road Sustrans path route 5, but then its on road to Prestatyn and mostly off road to Bangor route 5 again, ever thought of doing Offas Dyke path from Moel Famau to Prestatyn did it many years ago was interesting a very very steep on road down hill at Prestatyn and a train station there as well.

I think some mountain bikes would have been more suitable for this & not gravel bikes, fair play to you though, I can't imagine being able to go coast to coast all off road too?

Why dont you cycle from Fosdyke Wash or Neston to Englands farthest point from the sea? i believe this is called Cotton-on-the-Elms. should be 70 miles. cheers
