I feel like Chad expected his life to always suck, then things lined up so he and the boys were able to make it happen, but he remembers how it was looking early on so he is able to stay grateful and continue to be excited for things that a more jaded person would ignore or take for granted. It's awesome when good fortune isn't wasted on someone who doesn't appreciate it.
