*Who are we?*
We’re Victoria & Craig! In 2021, we decided that we needed to make life a little more exciting, so we bought a used fifth wheel and completely renovated it. Then, we sold our house in Tallahassee, Florida and hit the road full time in our RV! We’ve traveled all around the United States (and Baja Mexico!) and fell in love with boondocking in our RV at the most beautiful places. In 2023, we upgraded to a brand new Brinkley RV Model Z 3100. You’ll always find us on some kind of outdoor adventure, whether it’s hiking the Grand Canyon, rock climbing in Yosemite or surfing the shores of Baja Mexico. In the northeast: we always travel with a leaf blower: much easier to clear your slides and roof of leaves or debris. Also ; in the northeast we use generators: we hardly ever have hookups and do just fine

Lol we actually have a leaf blower, but it’s in an inconvenient spot, we’ve got to reorganize and get rid of some stuff when we get back to our storage unit in Florida 😆 and it definitely seems like we might be getting the generator out over here in this area of the country!

As others have suggested, get a battery operated leaf blower for the roof. Makes easy work of that task. We have one brand of battery tools for the camper so that we only have to take one or two batteries.

I've really enjoyed my Solitude over the years and it has provided much enjoyment, but it was time for a new unit. Comparing a new GD with a new Brinkley, depending what is most important to you in an RV, Brinkley was a clear winner for me.

Hi. Just to let yall know in the Adirondack park which is the largest park in the lower 48 at 6.1 millon acres. There is 79,000 acres section called Moose Plain where you can boondock. There is also area in western N.Y.-Pa. that has boondocking in the state and federal park. I don't think either one fits the bill for ya'll though.There's too many of those pesky trees.

Oh my goodness guys, when I saw that bridge I remembered a situation I was in a few years ago! I was driving a semi with a gross weight of 78,000 pounds plus. I had to take a detour and ended up on a 2,000 ft long bridge with a weight limit on it. I was WELL over! Im a Christian, but my ass was sucking up seat and my heart was in my throat and my mouth was speaking to the Lord. This was also a one and a half lane bridge..... Obviously by the grace of God I m hear typing today🤯!

You can handle that can't you? Send me a not if you are passing through Virginia . I will hook you up! or I will move my rig over and you can hook up to my 30a spot in the drive way. Love you guys .

We were looking into some of those spots in the Jefferson National Forest! We just left Virginia visiting Craig's brother, we ultimately opted for full hookups since we were going to have an extra person using water, etc. But, good to know because we often visit Virginia every year since Craig's brother is there.

You can look on the map for that route, Scranton Pa Petro Truck Stop was a good fuel stopping point my old stop

fyi, a lot of those "lists" that state that some place is voted best place to live, or the best beach, or the best night life arent actually a vote. The city/tourism council just pay a publication XX amount of dollars to be on the list, the ones paying the most get the top spot. They do it as a means to bring in more tourism and therefore more money to the town so its essentially just advertising
@wildrvlife
@wildrvlife 8 ай бұрын
lol yep! That's why I can't ever trust a list on the internet anymore. 🤣 gotta get my info from the real people!

@wildrvlife
@wildrvlife 8 ай бұрын
for sure! our basic setup is: Filming with: iPhone 14 Pro Mics: DJI wireless mics (Sometimes we use a GoPro Hero 9 attached to our windshield in the car) Drone shots with a DJI Mini 3 Pro And Craig edits on Davinci Resolve

Thank you! Due to budget, I might get the iPhone 13 Pro (renewed). Hopefully the video will turn out as good as your 14 Pro. 😅 Do you shoot standard 4K video (HEVC) on the phone? And lastly, what does Craig do when editing, to get the final look? Color grading? Brightening? Sharpening? Anything like that? I'd love to know, and others might too. 8) @@wildrvlife

Yeah, we've got the phone set to shoot in 4k at 30fps. There might have been one other setting I changed for something with HD-something, but I just looked up a youtube video on "how to set up an iphone for vlogging for youtube" and followed all the suggestions. We do some color grading in Davinci Resolve as well. Nothing crazy, but just bringing up the shadows and highlights down a bit and adjusting coloring slightly based on the lighting on if things are too warm/cool or need a little more/less saturation.
