Craig, do you have the RAM Air Suspension on your truck? Have you had any issue with it?

I just saw a recommendation for traveling Alaska is to "Get yourself a Bob." What that means is have someone driving in front of you. Watch when their vehicle bobs up and down to show you where the frost heaves are so you can slow down when going over them.

I was wondering about the firearms and you guys. I did read up on them for Canada. you can only take long guns and ammo for that specific firearm. But it needs to done way in advance to get the permit. Probably better to just leave at home and say No

Worst experience was one time crossing from NY to Cornwall, Ontario and they decided to search the 5th wheel. Checking drawers they found a gun lock that we had gotten a rv rally and then had a terrible time convincing them that we did not have any guns in the rv. They searched every cupboard and storage area before finally letting us go. Have crossed many other times with no issues. Coming back from Alaska and crossing at Vancouver they checked the refrigerator.

Groceries: invernmere, r hand side as you enter the city. Named no frills. Bring your own bags, have a Canadian dollar loonie to put in the cart or borrow from cashier. Stock on what you need for Alaska.

We stayed in site 140 (I originally thought it was 110) last summer at Ridgeview Resort. Beautiful place. Had the same issue at the same corner. And mine was a pull through but I had to back out. Have a look at that site.......No way I could have pulled through. If you have time I would make the trek to Lussier Hot springs. It's maybe 40 minutes south and then 15 miles up a logging road. Natural hot springs on the side of a river.

Coer De Lane? How were the geese? Some Americans have problems. You need to get the web site. I got in trouble for eggs, chicken, dog food in an open bag. Has to be sealed. Rice from the wrong country.

When you get close to the border why don't you just switch with Victoria and let her drive through the check point? ( Made the comment before watching the video) She has all the answers it seems. They don't like when the passenger answers all the questions while the driver sits there mute, if they want to hear from the passenger they will look directly at you and ask you. Having lived in a border city to Michigan all of my life crossing the border is normal for us. He wasn't small talking, he was asking you nicely specific questions to make sure you were letting your guard down. I always laugh when Craig backs into a site and Victoria is guiding him in, I tow a 44.5' toy hauler and have never had anyone back me in . When employees of campgrounds (KOA) offer to back me in I always decline the offer, employees of the park don't know the optimal spot for your sewer and water and power hookups and how far your slides extend out etc. I trusted them once and ended up spending 10 minutes walking the trailer over closer to the ped for hookups to avoid using extensions on everything. Maybe because I usually tow and setup alone without a co-pilot I have gotten comfortable with all of the aspects of trailer life and don't rely on someone else. My wife is usually in a separate vehicle with the animals and grand kids etc.

Ooh, you got lucky. My guy three weeks ago asked when my guns were in the truck last and my dumb ass was honest, I said, “this morning”. I don’t know if that was the wrong answer or what but they made me park and two of them gave the truck and trailer a pretty thorough toss. It sucked, and they weren’t cool at all. Had me lifting my shirt, pant legs, the works. This was at the I-5 crossing in Washington. If they pulled that crap too often, people would stop going, but luckily it’s the exception in my 5 or 6 times taking the RV up there. I guess maybe just lie, you hate guns, never been near one, you love Trudeau, fully vaxxed and boosted, etc. Or maybe it was just because they were slow, I don’t know. Burned an hour though and to me was pretty invasive. Just be prepared for it. I’ve seen RVs pulled over before and been waved right through, so I guess it was my turn. It’s such a joke too because I watched them search and there were tons of places they didn’t even look, so what’s the point. It’s just a big show, and doesn’t accomplish anything except to waste time and remind you that you have no rights in Canada, which you don’t.

Almost 40K subscribers! Woohoo, way to go! I giggle every time I see your faces traveling on the map - please add the puppy faces too?!?! Put a small screw through the Valterra "lip" where it attaches to the RV drain pipe (if I recall, I used a spare 1" finish screw). Stops the Valterra from spinning when removing the sewer hosef.

Craig, that add on sewer valve is a great idea..I have one too....I found that I got really tired of it spinning when removing the hose so I bought a pliers style rubber coated oil filter wrench to take the hose off while using the pliers on the hose portion...might make your life a bit easier, I know Im happier! LOL like this one - Hopkins Towing Solutions FloTool 10627GT GRIPTECH Filter Pliers

2 approximate conversions. 1.) kilometers to miles: divide km in half, then add 10% of the first number. e.g. 100km ÷ 2 = 50 + 10% of 100 (10) = 60 miles -- actually it's 62 miles but close. 2.) Celsius to Fahrenheit: double C and add 30. e.g. 20° x 2 = 40 + 30 = 70³ F
